TransLink Expo Line SkyTrain - Waterfront to King George (2015)

This is a video of the entire journey onboard TransLink's Expo Line, one of the three Skytrain routes in Metro Vancouver. The Expo Line was opened between 1985 and 1993 in stages - first to New Westminster in time for the 1986 Transport Expo, and then extended to Columbia and over the Fraser River via the 'Skybridge' to the city of Surrey in 1991 and again further into Surrey in 1994. We ride aboard Skytrain 117-118, a 1985-built ICTS Mark 1 set. Connected to our set is Skytrain 135-136 - a 1991-built ICTS Mark 1 set still in the former BC Transit paint scheme with TransLink decals.

Here's funny food for thought. These are the exact same trains as the Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT) in Toronto connecting to our regular TTC trains at Kennedy Station. However we have our own little chime and a driver lol. Had them since 1985. Check them out. They used to be all red, white, and black, but now they all seem to be blue? They look pretty cool though :)

I would give this train 4/5 why well I know for a fact the 1991 and 1995 cars have a very smooth ride and no noise when the breaks are used but why does 1984-1985 cars have loud breaks even after refurbishment

This car being 118 has loud brakes from 1985 and 121 have no break noise from 1991

I think those are rusty brakes because most of the 1985 versions don't have that issue
