Amazingly, this old technology is working its way back. The more we talk about progressivism, the more ancient we had become. Just wanted to add, for me is a beautiful thing when units work as designed. When igniters do not work, it is really easy to fix. Remove the 2 side phillips screws. Pick the upper housing by the handle and remove the whole bell. Activate igniter with wick down and check the filament glowing. If no glow, probably igniter needs replacement BUT if it does ignite and still does not work. You must adjuste it closer to the wick at the upper position. The igniter must make contact with the wick. Once these elements are in order that kerosene will fire up everytime. I enjoyed your video a lot and also enjoy the particular heat that these units are capable to produce.

Thanks for information. The battery contacts on the older unit are missing. I did connect the wires once and decided not to remove them when they came loose. on the newer unit wires broke loose. I just haven’t taken the time to reconnect the wires to the igniter. Thanks again for your information and please consider subscribing if you haven’t already thanks a lot and have a wonderful holiday.

I just receive a Dyna-Glo by UPS 2 days ago. I haven't taken it out of the box yet. Kerosene is not easy to get In Calizuela, because you have to pay exorbitant prices, like $10.00 / gallon, other states it might be $4.00 / gallon. These high output heaters suck up fuel even on low. I may have to go out of state to get kerosene at a lower price. I really liked your video. You explained everything very well. I bought the heater as a back up in case the house heater goes off. God bless you sir, for teaching me how to use the heater.

@@wemcal I think three thousand mile there and three thousand miles back will cost me $5,000.00 in diesel fuel to buy a hundred gallons in Kerosene. I would love to see Tennessee, but at this time. May Heavenly Father's Choicest Blessings be with You and your Family. Amen

@ totally understandable.. there’s always the “try diesel” videos floating around… I thought about it a few times but decided not to try it.. too many bad reviews using diesel with fiberglass wicks. You really need a cotton wick for diesel and those perfection heaters are the choice to go.. look into those heaters, you get about 6-7 burn time and about 12,000 btu, half of the dyna-glo ..

Thank you for the kind comment. Both units are great and if you have the opportunity to get one, please do make sure you check your state laws. I think you may be in one of those states that may not won’t be to have a kerosene heater, but check it out just to be sure. Thanks again for watching and check out some of my other videos that I’ve placed up about kerosene heaters. Also, please consider subscribing if you have an already. Thanks again for watching and have a wonderful holiday.

I have heard that repeated use of the emergency shutoff can damage the wick travel mechanism. I have heard that you should hold the wick control knob and press and hold the shut off while rotating the wick knob to prevent the hard snapping action.

I’ve never seen or done that.. I haven’t had any problems BUT I’ll definitely look into that.. thanks for watching and the suggestive comment..
