Towards the end of my Father's life he became friends with a Con man. I didn't live near my Father so couldn't check on him on a regular basis. Bob(Con man) lied about Everything and had huge stories about his life. I've known big personalities but his were over the top where he was the center of attention. Once I spent time with him and made some phonecalls I found out his scam was to latch on to an elderly who was dying and infiltrate their life and try to change their will leaving him everything. I had to call the Police about him. He actually tried to turn my Father against me and made the experience of my Father's passing a Nightmare. He had done this several times. Thank God he's gone and can't harm anyone else! Please be careful and protect your elderly. This is more common than you think.

The book was ‘A Million Tiny Pieces’ way to remember every major pathological liar that ever existed Heather! Just to add now with the use of social media, namely TikTok, we’re seeing an uptick of people using social to tell some heartstring pulling story, sometimes for a gofundme donation but many others just for… sympathy… fame/clout/notoriety. What I find more & more wild about that is they’re typically busted & exposed by social media investigator extraordinaires which is almost always then picked up by mass media. I NEVER understand why you’d risk it, why you wouldn’t know you’ll be busted, humiliated on socials but also people in your town & real life will inevitably end up knowing as well. That seems far from worth it & more risk than any type of reward.
