The Goldbergs is a lovely show. I'm going to miss it. It's silly and fun and full of heart and there's just enough of 80s trivia without being too overbearing. Of course the characters are larger than life especially hers. That's what made it so funny. She played the very best s'mother ever.

One of the greatest nostalgic shows of all time - The Goldbergs. The early seasons were fabulous. If you are a child of the 80's it is a must see. Unfortunately, the show lost it's way and should have ended about 3 season ago. I still watch but the magic has been gone for a while. I am kinda glad it is ending.....hopefully the finale will be a solid ending. It should be an hour long with all the past people involved!! Muscles Mirsky, Dana Caldwell, Dave Kim, Coach Mellor, Valley Erica, etc.

I grew up watching the original Goldberg's from the late 1949 to 1957 where Gertrude Berg played Molly Goldberg. Yes i also remember watching Carol Burnett the Gary Moore show too. I loved Carol Burnett on her variety show too. And Mama's place. I grew up watching I love lucy when it was not in Reruns during the 1950''s too.

Not a fan of "The Goldbergs," it was a reductionist view of the 80s. Also, she and Jimmy and I are the same age, and my comedy heroes were Buster Keaton, the Marx Brothers, Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, et cetera.

This was seen through the eyes of a teenage Adam Goldberg who is now 52. I'm 56 so I was 18 in 1985. He never pinpointed the exact year so they could build the story without the confines of telling it within that year. My husband and I would recall when events in an episode actually took place. Though I have a respect for the people you listed, I was a fan of Carl Reiner's sitcoms and Mel Brooks's movies as a teenager but I was well into my mid-20's when I appreciated THEM. I'm pretty sure that most teens felt the same way. It kind of puts you in the minority in that aspect.
