Stay strong! I’ve been there and done that, but things really do get better. I’d suggest, any time you feel that spiraling feeling, listen to music or watch videos. My main saving Grace is any of Coryxkenshin’s videos. And when i can’t stop thinking of what may, could, or will happen later in my life, i focus on the present as much as possible. No looking at times, thinking aloud all the sensations i experience or the things that make me happy currently. Not sure if this will even help you, but hopefully you can still understand that I care!

1:09:46 - Wendi brings up an interesting point here, and I think it's something that doesn't get talked about enough: I think the term "jumpscare" is categorically incorrect in most cases. It's not *scaring* you, it is *startling* you. The human brain is *hardwired by evolution* to react with shock when there's a sudden loud sound or something's face in close proximity. It's a survival instinct to jump-start your cardiovascular system and give you a spike of adrenaline in case you need to get the fuck away from a predator. But it doesn't actually *scare* you. It doesn't prey on the parts of your brain that actually process fear, it preys on a very basic human instinct. It's why there are so many in modern horror movies - because it's going to get everyone in the theater to jump, spill their popcorn, grab the arm of the person next to them. It's not something that most people can actively avoid. That's why I say that most FNAF games aren't even scary, they're just a startling endurance test. Mystery Flesh Pit National Park is scary. Gemini Home Entertainment is scary. Some of the parts of this that don't have loud noises and obnoxious distortion are actually scary. But jump "scares" aren't. actually. scary.
@tertiaritus
@tertiaritus 2 жыл бұрын
For real. I find the scariest things to be the ones that are just there, observing a lil bit to the side, and when there's suspense of silence
@johnsmoak8237
@johnsmoak8237 2 жыл бұрын
Fear, for me, comes from the lack of information that a reaction of shock necessitates. You couldn't be shocked unless you were threatened, and the scary part is running the calculations of whether you're even under any true duress or simply got pranked. If it shocked you then it scared you, but that's less relevant than the fact that jump scares in many games are not accompanied by the ambiance needed to trigger my brain to genuinely accept the lie of danger and get the response. You're just desensitized, I'd say. The scariest things are the most difficult to scare, so I'd recommend rigging your viewing experience by watching bright and careless content immediately before delving into jump style horror content. It may also help to have the content you watch be selected in a manner you are less directly wary of, for example by flipping a coin between a happy film and a horror film periodically so that your memory cannot so easily routinely generate apathy. This is actually quite a healthy practice lol

!SPOILERS! 2:32:55 My thought is that's just after Arthur confronts Marten and gets shot. Gloria hears a gun shot and races to grab her kid (likely kids) the sound shot WE hear is Gloria getting shot my Marten who likely sicked Bonzo on them to stop them leaving. And the noises we hear befor Marten starts looking for Macy is her crying because she's scared and disoriented (seemingly being woken at night). 3:00:00 I just realized the images flashing behind the goats head is an overlay of the clip of Macy's room when she's in the closet (Sopfia was sitting in a chair with candels around her) 6:02:15 WHY AM I CRYING OVER A FAKE BABY AND A FAKE DOG?
@OmniManiac05
@OmniManiac05 Жыл бұрын
Don't worry bro, you weren't crying alone. lol, also battington made another tape called "The Miracle Child" that further explains what happened that night. Here are the events in chronological order: Gloria leaves the home in the morning before the kids have gone to school, but Martin never took "their" son to school although Macy did go to school but Gloria doesn't find out till later. We don't specifically know if Martin killed his son immediately or if he kept him alive until a further time. Arthur goes to confront Martin about bonzo which ends in Arthur's death, though there are gaps in what specifically Martin was doing that day. Martin hides the body waiting until Macy comes home from school, some time passes until Gloria gets a call saying that their son never went to school that day and arrives back to her home at night to confront Martin. When she arrives Macy is sleeping but their son's whereabouts aren't known so she goes to talk to Martin, where he finally reveals he knows the kids aren't his and he becomes more angered as their conversation progresses. Gloria tells him that this is the reason Arthur and her were taking the kids saying, "you're out of control". Martin tells Gloria that Arthur had left her and the kids behind while he begins to load a gun telling Gloria they have 30 seconds to try and run as far as they can from him. Gloria quickly rushes to Macy's room to get her but they are attacked by bonzo which forces Gloria to try and barricade the door while telling Macy to go in the closet and don't come out but her words are cut off when a loud gunshot is heard and all we hear is Macy sobbing quietly. We begin to hear Ava crying as the loud noises have awoken her while Martin kills Macy. We can only hear the sound of Ava crying until one final resounding shot is heard then everything goes absolutely silent.

My stupid lil theory: Martin makes sacrifices to the devil in order to make the toy business successful. The catch is that the sacrifices must be living things he has some sort of important connection to. But instead of the devil taking the souls (or something like that) he let's Martin keep them inside a toy. Idk why that would be the deal or how that benefits the devil but that's what I'm sticking with for now.

You are abysmal to look at!" to, "Your daughter's name is Sofia? Just get rid of it. I don't make the rules." He makes fun of dying children, too! 5:47:35 SSFD reacts to a banger! 5:51:45 SSFD finds a hero. 5:57:40 SSFD makes chat feel shame. 6:01:30 Not "funny", per se, but his realization was so happy. 6:05:05 The logical one vs the protagonist 6:06:20 6:14:20 Alex Kister sends SSFD two videos for him to watch.

Grew up religious and a good religiously relevant use of a goat or lamb can still be spooky. SCP-5999 was a recent reminder of how unsettling sudden sacrilege soup can be when it pops up in a narrative. I'm cool with goats. Might not ever help an injured lamb though.

Went to go check it out. It SWIFTLY reminded me why I don't look at SCP stuff anymore. Not saying there's anything wrong with reading up on the SCP wikis. But my eyes weren't manufactured properly and my brain is too imaginative.. not a great combination to add in with anxiety. Looked really neat though, from what I did read before it got to be a bit much! ❤

@@ThePhrog714 I mean, I will bring up, the "backrooms" scene was made 2 years before the first Kane Pixels video, and while the backrooms were a concept at that point (and had been for a long time) it seems more likely that it was just meant to look like an empty hotel hallway, which is... essentially what the backrooms is. So while yes, it is similar in that it is an empty/abandoned place, it most likely wasn't an intended reference.

"It's so sweet how he's just talking to his audience", says the guy who sweet talks his audience in this adorable humble way that just makes him a channel you want to watch. That "And most of all, thank you for watching" is a Pavlovian bell for me at this point. It is its own reward because of how genuinely grateful you sound, and I know you are grateful, because people like us, for whom death is just a really big family reunion, besides that one creepy uncle who didn't make the cut, know to count our blessings. Aaaand... "Dad"? Are you even old enough to drink? (not that I think you would; part of why this is my favorite channel on YT is how wholesome you are.) I'm not trying to be mean. You just have a serious case of baby face. And I don't really think you're a teenager. 22-25 is my guess. The "are you even old enough to drink?" was just comedic exaggeration. You'll see. After 26, everyone who's more than two or three years younger than you are is "like, 12". 😂 Oh, you're 23. Hey, I was close! A few months short of 10 years younger than me... Man, I'm an old lady. I have the cane and everything. (I've been on that since I was your age, but still.) No, I didn't look anything up on that. My husband looked it up, not me. I like to leave people their privacy. Blame him. Glad to know I wasn't misremembering your name. Also, we all know you spend absurd lengths of time managing that beard. It looks awesome, though, and to grow it so thick, so young (If you are the age I estimate, I'm only ten years older than you, but I learned so much in my 20s, both academic and life-wise, they felt like a lifetime.) you are one high T bro. Aw man, that knife in the eye thing got me. I'm usually stone-facedly enjoying the story with these, but I almost suffered that exact fate (okay it was car keys but still, being pinned against the wall and told someone much bigger and stronger than you is going to "gouge out your bad eye so you can watch me [cease the life of] you with your good one" is pretty horrific for a 17 year old girl to go through.) and damn, PTSD is a huge jerk. I'm cool, though. Don't feel bad or anything. I watch these knowing I may see a horror that hits home and I mentally prepare for that possibility. PTSD (yes officially dx'd, in the rehab I had to go to for IV H because I was running from my pain from said 8 months of that kind of stuff.) At least the worst thing he ever did can't be shown on this site...
