Nothing much changed in terms of power, which is fine cause Wendy is just strong. Everything just went into Utility and random other perks. Having safety abilities for Abi is a Plus for sure. Might be able to use her against endgame bosses.

yes you can equip it and unequip it just like any other wearable like in the video
