stairs will also auto generate if you have a path in front of a building structure. But yeah outside of that you have to go through this insane effort, so hopefully the devs will improve. edit: actually stairs should just be their own structure. they're definitely one of the foundational structures of any multi-story building.

I agree, stairs should be a customizable structure on its own, seeing this tutorial now I understand why I wasn't able to build one, it takes a lot of effort... Also bridges, more props like lanterns, campfires, crops. The game needs all of these. Even though pro builders are already building incredible things with the current assets. Edit: I add another thing that would be useful for fine grained control and details: vector points removal and addition. Like in the case of the walls and fences you should be able to add and remove vector points at will for fine customization.

Hold ctrl whilst building the wall pieces to disable snapping. It stops them linking to each other. That way you can just draw each wall piece in exactly where it needs to be without having to space them out or move them in/out of position. Would only take a few seconds.

While I find these tricks impressive, and I'm always proud of my little drawbridges, wells, benches, portcullises, and other makeshift structures, I would really love to see some of these things officially implemented into the game. Or even just something more rudimentary to work with. Give me planks and logs, and I'll put them together to make benches all day, but finagling fences and walls with pathways to get something that you then have to hide parts of in order to make look like a plank.. is tedious as hell. I had intentions of making a castle with 12 consecutive gatehouses last night, but I completely lost steam after the 2nd. If I had the ability to duplicate everything within a selected area, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Then just carry the whole duplicated section to where I want it.

Starting at 1:11 there is a much easier way to build those wall sections that turn into stairs or anything else. Create a very short wall with only 2 nodes. Then pull one node and you get a perfectly straight wall section as long as you want. If you want to make a right angle, for example, just add another node where you want the wall to bend and drag the end node around until you have your 90 or any other angle you desire.

One tip I've found that's useful when dealing with multiple sections of wall like that, is to change your color and make the top even on a single piece, then use the cutting tool to remove parts from the original wall. Every piece you cut will have those options enabled already, so it reduces some of the time needed.

@Limit19970
@Limit19970 Ай бұрын
The game is not in early access. It is still being worked on and improved, but it does not state anywhere on the steam page that the game is Early Access. Games released on steam into Early Access come with a big blue disclaimer box on the store page that state it is Early Access and that the game may or may not change over time. Tiny Glade does not have this Disclaimer on its store page, as it released as a full game immediately. To reiterate; not contesting that the game will improve over time. It has received patches, and I don't doubt it will continue to receive patches and improve, but it is not Early Access.

@@blackfenbldr9178 I just wanted to clarify because if people are mislead into thinking that the game is Early Access, they may hold the belief that the game will receive a more significant amount of changes and additional features over time than it may actually end up receiving, which may cause people to develop negative opinions towards the game.
