@Radonradium This 12-car setup consists of 009/010 and 091/092. The latter had a burning smell and so 009/010 had to pull it back to the depot.

Where I live (Calgary, AB, Canada) the city trains do this all the time. But it's basically a two car train pulling a two car train pulling another two car train, a total six car train. They're not really as long as MRT trains in Singapore though, and sometimes they get way too overcrowded...

nope. the back train broke down, so the passengers were evacuated first, before the "rescue train" was deployed to pull the faulty train back to the depot (Ulu Pandan)
