Well, there are probably many things that people nagging me about as an INFJ, but the art is to make yourself enough psychologically sharp so people to be afraid to insist on you. Yes, it's one of our worst experience as an INFJ, for example to work in a office with two or three other people and you always have to back your emotions and expressions in order not to be judged and misunderstood, but we will always deal with those kind of people so why I just keep me reactions down in front of those who can't understand me and trick them from the back door, and maximize my attention to those I love and respect. We are very much able to know what people are able to understand me after a little conversation and what people will never can so why we have to waste our energy on people who will never understand us. I just leave them in my back mirror.

I don't feel the need to explain myself to anybody. I like my alone time and that is all anybody needs to know. Insanity is explaining yourself to those determined at misunderstanding you.

Arguments INFJs are sick of, aka the INFJ list of demands, our non-negotiables. I need to be alone. A lot. I'll go outside when I'm ready. Until then, I'm perfectly content basking in the universe inside my head. I'm often not going to react the way you want or expect. Cope. I have friends that are not like you. Cope. When my social battery runs out, so do I. Cope.

When I first transitioned to remote work, I had an former coworker constantly ask me "when did you last go outside?" It used to anger me. Her tone felt very judgemental. She also had a very bossy personality. She randomly text me after not hearing from me after I left the job asking if I was ok. She asked if I wanted to meet up for coffee. The shock over text she felt when I said "I think its best I move on. I was miserable at that job and its best if I leave everyone and everything alone related to that job." She tried the "but Im not the job". Girl. If the only thing we talk about is the job when we're together, yes, you are also the job lol. Plus she was bossy. Im good. A few days later, I randomly received a text from another old coworker at that same job asking where did I go? That made me angrier because I sensed they were standing around gossiping about me. Gossip was one of the other issues that made me leave that job.

Asking about me being quiet or needing my personal space - I have gotten the impression of "why are you like this" energetically. I simply do not need constant human interaction and people find that very different. And it gets even crazier when they do witness my extroverted FE side - because I think they are searching for a box and our personal need to engage and disengage can not be - It is what it is

I think these five points in general and numbers 1 and 5 in particular deal with us as introverts - and numbers two, three and five in particular, at least for me, come from pure and simple lack of physical energy. A lot of people don't realize (a) that introverts can be friendly and (b) that we still are introverts - after all, INFJs are often referred to as "The Introverts Most Likely to be Mistaken for Extroverts." I often have hunches as to the motive behind the reason that people ask these kinds of questions, but of course I can't read someone else's mind. I've also seen that these are all "why" questions about personal choices. Sometimes I will give a reason, being that I'm tired. (Mostly it's from feeling drained because of a lot of external stimulation and a need to decompress, although I often don't mention that part.) These questions can be annoying, and it's a temptation to tell them to mind their own business. But I found that saying firmly but respectfully, "I'm choosing to -------" and avoid giving much of an explanation is often effective for me.

I had friends until I had enough of their BS. As soon as I said something they disagreed with or they saw me "Freak out" in public, they would run for the hills screaming !!! The pandemic truly taught me about who I was and what I was made of, My phone did not ring once, and I don't do out calls. I had to buckle down and do what needed to be done to take care of my husband and myself and my home, amid serious situations here in Montreal. It was not easy and I did it alone. And I was ok with that, it really did not make a difference in how I lived my life. But I noticed just how much others did not bother with me. It spoke volumes to me about just who I thought my friends were. I would rather eat dirt than make an out call !!

Crazy always works to get rid of those who wont get the point. People run from crazy it is one of the tools in my arsenal. Word gets out very quickly when people believe you are stark raving mad. Then I sit back and enjoy my peace. Yeah, i get it, it seems a bit devious but it works and sometimes peace of course is way more important than what those people think of me. It gives them something to talk about so they can feel important and superior. Keeps them out of my hair…

As a very young man I use to go sit at a bar just to watch and listen to people. One time I overheard a gal tell the woman sitting between us how many a-holes she had to go through before she finally met her friends. I quit hanging out in bars after I quit drinking 40 years ago but I'm still waiting to make some good friends. 👍

Wenzes, Thank you for all sharing about INFJ. In these days I watch some of your videos. What you share is helpful. I can tell behind the scenes you did put efforts, analyze, apply to real situation, and concern of how to have audience knowing deep and easy to apply to different aspects to live. I also can say, you truly want to help INFJ to overcome the obstacles and make our live better.

What’s frustrating for me is that it takes people soo much longer to get to the point. I have 2 secs in and it seems like weeks later they catch up but until they do the arguments are a pain in the butt to avoid. They are unnecessary because once others catch up they have no argument left. Their points irrelevant because they finally see things for what they are. Patience is the thing needed. No explanations just know this is the way of life for us….

I already learned keep distance (I'm 70).. Even from people who i give money , through my girlfriend.. So sometimes is see them in my house and then i just have to shut-up and smile... They dond't have the vision i have.. Their vision is more like that of a chicken.. BUTTTT sitting or even standing in a over crowded train is just great.. Listening to all those talks, feeling the emotion's and ofcourse not responding because that would spoil the whole atmosphere around me...

But, at the same time I’m too scared or lazy to look up where you live as I’m curious as I know you not here in murica. Like I care, but I don’t. You’re basically my bff. That isn’t a good thing. Haha I’m always listening to hear the difference in dialects. Somehow it takes my mind off shhh. I may even not look if you reply. I. Am doing well though. Hope you are too.

Your friends say a hel of a lot about you. It is what concerns me most for them, they know it too and see it coming. They are not good people, they live off harassment in the internet. I mean, how much worse can it get. Looking for the ones that are down and TRYING to tear them down further for an aesthetic public spectacle to profit off of.

Lizards react. Evolved humans respond. I don't believe the personality type arguments as much as I believe that most humans are not evolved. I love this channel and look forward to your insights, but for me it will always be evolution more than personality.

I think there's a huge correlation for me. I was diagnosed AuDHD at 41. I find my INFJ quirks are also a reflection of my swoopy brain. For me, I find it helps with understanding who I truly am.

For me there is a huge correlation with Obsessive Compulsive *Personality* Disorder, OCPD, which shares many featured with asoergers spectrum disorders. Very different to OCD. When you realise that it is self imposed rules systems, extreme reactions, indignance, strong sense of morality etc. Personal relationships suffer the most, relationships with employers suffer, even though people with OCPD make excellent, diligent, emoloyees on the face of it, and are devoted to their work, even beyond wirkaholism, it can go very bad indeed. I won't say what happened in my case, but a very large company on the UK eill never forget me and banned me from all stores nationwide..... ... All because I spoke truth to power in way they've never been spoken to before over the course of a year.

Given that most people as they age cluster around the ambiverted spectrum these are broadly applicable to everyone. It really has nothing to do with being a cognitive INFJ or not as the case may be. No disrespect, ISFPs and ESFPs are wonderful types. I don't think most people are trying to trigger you but I get how you can perceive people that way based on early negative attachments and relationships. You do seem to have a somewhat derogatory perception of the human race which is a shame as you'd make a hoot advocate for ISFPs & ESFPs with your sheer perseverance. People are generally too wrapped up in their own internal dilemmas to be outwardly antagonistic towards others and of course, someone could just be having a bad day. I think the great irony is that you say you're not triggered but then spend so much time embroiled in these kind of topics where you perceive a large proportion of the population as your nemesis. Again, a word of advice. Most people simply don't care. Again living out a vocation or purpose is Se authority, the INFJ albeit on a cerebral abstract level is much more people centric as an Fe authority type. Again the irony is you are making strong judgments about people that are other than ISFPs; why not expand your content to talk about interrelationships with other types? There's so much complementarity in the world. Trust me people don't think you're weird, you're no more eccentric than the next person (which is a good thing). I'm glad you've found your assertiveness however.
