As an A&P tech, this looks like a winner. We walk our tools to our aircraft, where we dont have a table or desk to spread our tools out onto. I like the openness to the box. Just throw and go. Who has time to organize? Oh, other technicians do, not aircraft mechanics. Thanks for the review

Can you add the Wera 2 Go 3 with the Wera 2 Go 4?

Wera are very nice tools they are bold in design and very modern compared to gedore /hazet who seem to be sticking with the tried and tested designs wera seem to be branching out a lot more and are clearly reaping the rewards you are right about were not being for mechanics

I think that is why they call themselves the "tool rebels." They are definitely not afraid of taking risks. I wonder about all the products their engineers came up with that never made it to market.

In the tactical/military nylon gear world the hook is on the pouch and the loop is on the larger piece of gear pouches attach to. This is pretty much universal. Interesting that they have done the opposite. Maybe so their system only works with their accessories? Would like to have seen this fit with other options out there, but overall I like the modularity and look of these.

Interesting, I didn't think about that aspect. Yeah the large satchel has all hook pads and the other boxes/cases have loop pads.

I like that they did it this way because then you don't have a problem with the pouches sticking if you set it down on carpet. Occasionally I open the Wera Kraftform Kompakt 62 on carpet and the flap always gets stuck...it's rather annoying when you have to move it a couple times.

Can you leave the 3 on the flap of the 2 and close it? Of course the 3 would be upside down, but it would be could if that worked.

I sent this video to one of my friends who is a photocopier technician. Not so long ago he talked about how he was often frowned upon with his dirty toolbox in the offices he works in. I'm sure he'll be interested. I think decorators might be a target market too, fitting curtains and so on. Definitely not for industrial/auto repair though. Thanks for the detailed video!

I like the versatile design they have come up with. This enables the user set up the bag for his specific needs. However i'm not sure for who these bags are made for. If you dont work in very clean envirorments, won't all that velcro fill up with dirt and other debris very quickly?. And speaking of velcro, i'm not sure i would stand hearing that velcro ripping sound all day long. I think the pricing is too high for the bag, you can get one of the smaller veto pro bags for the same price.

Yeah I think it is really a niche market. I was surprised that they went with the typical hook and loop design since there are better designs out there such as the mushroom head, which uses the same material on both sides and isn't as susceptible to water and dirt like the typical Velcro design. I think 3M might still have a patent on that design though, which they market as "Dual Lock."

I recently bought a few Wera screwdrivers, of their flagship series. After one use in a greasy / gunky environment and the green overmolding on some of them is already deteorating even though I cleaned them thoroughly. My guess is that this case is for the same market as their screwdrivers: retail shop display.

Will the 2go3 fit in the top of the 2go2 when the quiver is filled with tools?
@GermanToolReviews
@GermanToolReviews 5 жыл бұрын
Not really if you have any tools sticking out of the top of the small quiver. I guess in that particular case it would be better suited for short tools (less than 100mm).

Over €100 for the Wera 2Go 2 alone seems excessive, for that you can get much better value with a Parat case, also excellent quality gear-and a German brand.

I love Wera but in my honest opinion, these storage cases are shitty gimmicks at best. The whole attaching with velcro seems flimsy, the amount of storage space is pathetic compared to proper tool cases. Also there is almost no good way of sorting your tools which will end you up with a giant mess after some time. Plus that whole textile finish usually gunks up really quickly and is almost impossible to clean. They make excellent tools, that's why they should stick to improving them instead of trying to build cases. There are way better options out there.

I do with they would have used buckles for the outside instead of hook and loop, mainly because it can be annoying to others around you when first opening it.

I've had those same hook/swivel units on a computer bag for the past 14 years, they still work fine and I often carry 2x 15" laptops, charging bricks and an ipad in it (so lots of weight). I think they are actually better/more durable than metal ones.

I use those hook/swivel units every weekend. I am a scuba diver and I use 2 of them, one to secure my flashlight and the other to secure my underwater camera. They never failed me, salt water and the ocasional hit/bump with other scuba gear did not damage them. www.amazon.es/Mares-Spring-Coil-Correa-espiral/dp/B000UUYVH8/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=QBTD7BGDSQVR48ZXA946 www.amazon.es/dp/B00DDZY9TM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3RP00IAL33LCK&coliid=IDX19K2D8RE9D

It's really cool to see nylon and hook and look tech in the tool carry world. I feel like they're a generation behind what the tactical nylon industry has been doing for years. The differences would be the use of laser cut Velcro MOLLE and woven polypropylene laminates. Most tactical gear feature a soft vecro panel with whatever being attached have the hard hooks. Wera went the opposite. I think the next generation should be magnet or buckle closure and buckles for the straps.

Here's another environment this product *might* be well suited for, which no one here and probably not even the manufacturer thought of: piano technician. Many of us often work in concert venues, hotels, upscale restaurants, palatial homes, etc, and it doesn't get any more formal than that. Being well-dressed and having a classy-looking kit can go a long way in helping your clients appreciate the work you do (esp. since in some cases they can't fully discriminate between "good" and "great" work). In big city high-rise apartment buildings, looking grubby will get you sent around the back to the service entance, but having a more "corporate" appearance and a clean, slick tool kit (this Wera system could pass for a computer case), will encourage the doorman to call you sir or ma'am and treat you like a friend of the family. Is it snobbish to think that way? Maybe, but it's essentially a luxury service trade, and the impression you make can help justify the money you have to charge. An added bonus is flashing a respected European brand like Wera (although very few would notice). I work in the US but I service European pianos a lot and they are well served by metric and euro-made tools. I have some Wera and Wiha drivers and love them, and I love my DeWalt power tools too but I would never carry a toolbag with their logo on it. A kit like this that is designed for tools but not from a recognizable (in the US) tool brand *could* be a good fit. Of course, I say *might*, and *could* because as others have noticed, there are some drawbacks to this system. For my work, I would want to add in small divider boxes for small measuring gauges, odd-shaped tools, bits of repair materials, small containers of glue and lubricants, invoices and tablet, etc. It would be nice if Wera offered an adjustable palette system to go with with this. My gear is sort of like a mix between electrician, jeweler, and 17th century surgeon, so a tool case designed around standard size pliers and drivers would not quite be ideal. It's good that this product is modular to an extent, but as it is I don't think it could be the only case I carry. Plus, the black outer fabric would quickly get dirty from being set on the floor; leather or even a polymer like kydex might be better. And I would prefer a more secure connection between components than the Velcro. Velcro plus buckles or snaps? But if I get some spare cash and spring for this system, I'll post a follow-up. Who knows, I might like it a lot. Thanks, GTR, I enjoy this channel.

Thanks for the long and detailed comment. After having this for a bit I would have probably preferred this to use leather straps and buckles instead of the hook and loop since it can be pretty loud and annoying to open one of these in a relatively quiet space.

Gavin McGraw I I would recommend you get one or some of the veto pro-pac products they not only look classy but are built to take rugged abuse and have plenty of different bag designs to cater to the service industry. They are pricey but good tools are. I love my 2 bags that I have and they help keep me organized and get compliments on them every day. Hope to get more in the future.
