Not sure if you guys also know the whole Burrow story in the NFL. His 1st year they had no OL and all the ligaments in his knee were torn in game 6. Out for the season. The next year, they got Chase and tried to beef up their OL and they went to the Super Bowl but lost. Last year he missed training camp because his appendix burst and then KC finally beat them keeping them out of the Super Bowl back to back years. Now a non-contact calf strain. He just hasn’t been able to stay healthy and was once the most sacked QB and probably stays in the top 5.

Cincinnatian here, Joe Burrow is BACK! 378 passing yards today and 3 touchdowns. Ja’marr Chase was drafted in 2021. Last year, Joe Burrow quote, “F#*k it Ja’Marr is down there someplace.” Today, Chase had a new Bengals record 14 receptions, 3 touchdowns today. Chase quote from earlier this week, “I’m always f#*kin’ open.” Last year, the Bengals had a slow start due to him missing training camp. I think it was right before training camp started he had appendicitis. So it took a couple of games to get in synch. This year it was the soft tissue in the calf that messed him up right as training camp started. Last year, the Bengals went undefeated the last 9 games of the season. Fingers crossed for this year. AFC North with Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Baltimore. Some other nicknames for Joe, Joe Brrr, Joe Sheisty. WHO DEY!!!!!

He was indeed not the starter at Ohio State. He played behind JT Barrett and the late Dwayne Haskins. LSU didn't have a deep QB room so they went out and got him. Also, the Burreaux on his jersey is pronounced just like Burrow. The -eaux is the Cajun spelling for -o. He did it as a tribute to the state. Geaux Tigers!!

Burrow was injured at Ohio State. Ohio State had two other future NFL first round Qb's that were ahead of him on the depth chart a the time. Ohio State Qb, Justin Fields was a finalist with Joe Burrow for the 2020 Heisman Trophy. Last season Burrow got off to a slow start because he had to have his Appendix removed just before the season started. He was still recovering the first part of last season. That was why they got off to such a slow start. This year it's his calf. He seems to get injured every year just before the season starts

You guys know I’m a huge LSU fan, born, raised and live in Louisiana, and while I wouldn’t trade the perfect year it has been tough since then. Something to keep in mind is that the worst team in the league gets the 1st pick of the draft. What IS surprising is how quickly they were able to get to the AFC Championship.

Thank y'all for all that LSU tape. I live in Louisiana and was never a football fan at all...until somebody somehow got me to watch an LSU game on TV in 2018. As soon as I saw Joe Burrow being interviewed, I was HOOKED. Not on football necessarily, LOL, but on Joe Burrow. I watched every second of that historic 2019 season and realized all during the season that we were being privileged to watch history being made. That entire LSU team that year was outstanding, both on and off the field...never any rumors of poor behavior. And Ja'Marr was a huge star at the time...not sure how someone that good to begin with could keep leveling up, but he has become a beast! I faithfully follow the Bengals only because Joe and Ja'Marr are on the team. I am still not a true football fan, but I am a loyal follower of Joe Burrow. He is just such an outstanding HUMAN that I cannot wait to see where his football career and his life in general take him.

It's funny how you mentioned you can't get a passing play to a RB to work. Back in the day when I played Madden, there was a route that I would have a ~90% completion percentage on with a play action go route to the RB and he would almost always be able to make a huge play off it. Never did it online because I found it cheap (although back then everyone played with Vick and ran like 20 yards backwards) but yeah on my franchise team it was fun to do every once in a while.

Joe was #1 overall in 2020 draft. Ja'Marr was like #5 overall in the next draft. They picked that high because the Bengals were pathetic in 2020, and he injured his knee in week 11 I believe. They only won 1 game after his injury, finishing 4-11-1. Then the slow start in 2022 was mainly due to Joe having an appendectomy in training camp. It set him back about 1 month. They started slow in week 1 and 2 as a result of Joe being rusty and the OL was PISSPOOR. Once Joe got healthy, and the OL jelled a little bit more they went on a ROLL. They were 4-4 going in to week 9, they proceeded to win 10 games straight after that. Finished the regular season 12-4 and then won 2 games in the playoffs vs Baltimore and Buffalo. They BARELY lost to Kansas City in KC. They were missing 3 starters on the OL and barely lost by 3 points at the very end of the game. Joes only true weakness, besides his health, is his VERY below average Offensive Line. If he has even an ounce of Time he SHREDS defenses. Hello from Ohio btw LOL

The next season he took the team to the Super Bowl, 2021. 2022 was a down year for them, even though they made it to the AFC championship game against the Chiefs which they held their own against but lost. He's been oft injured because their owner WILL NOT invest in the Oline.

Joe Burrow was JT Barrett’s backup who was one of the best to ever do it at Ohio State. After JT left Burrow was in a competition for the starting job with Dwayne Haskins(RIP) and lost so he transferred to LSU where he would start. There’s this narrative that Ohio State made a mistake by letting Burrow get away but the year he transferred Haskins threw for 4800 yds and 50 tds and Burrow that year was just ok. Ohio State went from Dwayne Haskins to Justin Fields to CJ Stroud thats a lot of talent right there. Burrows 2nd season at LSU was special probably the best season by a college qb ever and I’m happy for him but I feel the Ohio State chose wrong narrative needs to be put to rest

Basically Joe joined Ohio State when they had this super deep QB room and had 3 different guys start for them the previous season when they won the national championship (Braxton Miller, JT Barrett, and Cardale Jones) all 3 played excellent in that national championship season. Then in Burrow's 1st year he was going to sit behind those 3 and the next year Ohio State recruited another fantastic QB (Dwayne Haskins r.i.p.) And when JT Barrett finally graduated, Burrow broke his hand and Haskins was having an incredible off season, so Burrow knew he probably wasn't going to start in 2018 either which is why he transferred. Haskins actually threw 50 TDs in 2018 and Burrow wasn't that good his first season at LSU so sometimes it's just a matter of weird circumstances.

To understand why Joe Burrow wasn’t the starter at Ohio State you have to go all the way back to 2012. Ohio State hired Urban Meyer as the coach and started a young QB named Braxton Miller who was an other worldly running QB. Miller got hurt in 2013 in the last game of the year that would keep him out for 2014 as well. This bringing in JT Barrett. JT ended up playing for Ohio State for 5 years due to an injury of his own, while being irreplaceable to Ohio State with his running and throwing ability. One thing Urban was known for was loyalty to his guys. Ohio State’s program saw a lot of success in this time and won it all in 2014. When the time came to say goodbye to JT in 2018, Urban and Ryan Day the new head coach to be were looking for JT Barrett clones. While Burrow was fantastic, he got injured in the midst of a QB competition with Dwayne Haskins and ultimately decided to transfer when Justin Fields came to Ohio State in 2019. Both Haskins and Fields were more like JT than Burrow and fit the Ohio State play-style and scheme more than Burrow did. It really sucked because Burrow was an Ohio kid and grew up loving Ohio State. I feel like fate brought him back to Ohio to be the Bengals savior for a reason. Ohio State, LSU and Cincinnati are all proud of Joe.

South Louisiana is deeply intertwined with Cajun-French culture. So a Boudreaux and a Thibodeaux are two classic Louisiana joke characters. You pronounce the names “Boo-Droe” and “TIB-I-DOE” so Burreaux is pronounced Burrow. It was his nod to the state of Louisiana and now he’s our boy.

It's insane Joe hasn't had a true offseason since he got into the league. His rookie year was when covid was rampant, then he was rehabbing his ACL from his rookie season. Then he missed his summer camp and preseason bc of an appendectomy. Also missed this preseason and summer camp bc of his calf injury. The year this man gets a full offseason, camp and preseason reps is the year he wins it all. Of course he could win it any other year bc he is just that guy.

Jefferson and chase were both on the 2019 team with burrow. Chase won the award for best receiver in college football that year and stayed for a junior season (he opted out of the 2020 season due to covid) , while jefferson who was the seen as the 2nd option to chase got drafted late in the first round and put together the greatest rookie season for a wide receiver. Jefferson’s first year success in the NFL only boosted the hype for jamarr next year, who then broke Jefferson’s rookie record. Burrow always starts off slow. 2021 he was still recovering from his ACL surgery, 2022 he had an emergency appendectomy right before the season, this year he had a calf injury. His rookie year. He had the ACL injury that took him out for the rest of the season, but the following year he came back and took the team to the Super Bowl. Nobody expected the Bengals to be anything that year. If you watched it this week's game you'd see he and Chase are back. Chase had a team record for receptions and Burrow moved around for the first time this season.

I live in Columbus home of the Buckeyes. Unfortunately Burrow was here at the end of JT Barrett which was a multi year starter at Ohio State. The summer that Burrow was competing for the starting job he broke his hand and lost the starting job to Dwayne Haskins. Haskins was a great player and Burrow decided to see if he could start somewhere else and went to LSU. The rest is history. Jamar was drafted the following year. Hope that clears it up

He left Ohio State after redshirting his freshman year (2015) and spending 2 years mostly on the bench (2016 and 2017) and didn't look likely to start the next year, so he left. I think it was a combination of Ohio State not knowing what they had and Joe not quite developing that chip on his shoulder until then. He spent 2018 and 2019 at LSU. Back then, you had to sit out a year if you transferred but there was an exception for those who had graduated and he had done so in 3 years. He was drafted in 2020 and Ja'Marr was drafted in 2021. Ja'Marr was obviously a highly-skilled prospect but I'm sure the chemistry with him and Joe was no small portion of why the Bengals wanted him. Only one player has won the Heisman Trophy twice and he did it back-to-back years; Archie Griffin of Ohio State in 1974 and 1975. I think it's so hard to repeat because, once you win, EVERYONE is out to get you. Johnny was the first freshman to win and then, yes, Jameis Winston won the next year as a freshman. However, they were both redshirt freshman and in their second year of college. No true freshman has ever won. Also, a sophomore didn't win until Tim Tebow in 2007. The award is dominated by seniors which makes sense because it is both hard to come right out of high school and excel at that level but also because, like most awards, it is voted on by the media and usually requires a lot of high-profile coverage and name recognition to win. The "real" Death Valley is a desert valley US National Park on the California-Arizona border. It is one of the hottest places on Earth during the summer and contains the lowest point in North America, 282 feet (86 m) below sea level. Clemson's home stadium is also, sometimes, referred to as death valley. I don't think there's really a reason other than it sounds threatening and stadiums look like valleys. Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana and where LSU is located. Unfortunately for Ed Orgeron and Joe Burrow, they did not give Coach O a lifetime contract. In fact he was fired in 2021, just 2 years after winning the National Championship. I guess titles don't give you a lot of breathing room at LSU. Former Notre Dame and Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly took over last year. Yeah, that first game against the Steelers last year was a complete special teams shit show at the end. The Bengals had actually lost their long-snapper during the game and the snap on the potential game winning extra point was high which gave time for Minka Fitzpatrick to get around the corner and block the kick. Then, in overtime, the Bengals could have won it with a field goal and then the snap was even higher which threw off the kicker's timing and he shanked a chip shot left. THEN, the Steelers' kicker knuckled a 55 yarder that hit the upright so flush, the sound reverberated around the whole stadium. Finally, with time running out in overtime, the Steelers kicker was finally able to make a kick and win the game.

I am pretty sure Justin Fields was the QB in Ohio State when Joe Burrow transferred. Ohio St wanted Fields as the starter and Burrow wanted to play somewhere he could start at and the rest is history. I could be wrong about that though.

Burrow got injured his rookie year and then in his second year the Bengals drafted Chase at 5th and then burrow won come back player of the year and Chase won rookie of the year and broke the rookie receiving records and made the Superbowl and also 5-4 is not bad it's good it's not great but definitely good having a winning record or just being 500 is good and even beginning like 4-5 or 2-3 is not that bad it's not good but not bad

As an Ohio State Buckeyes fan I must say our QB room had too much talent. We had JT Barret, Cardale Jones, Dwayne Haskins, AND Joe Burrow at one point. And when he left we got Justin Fields. It was supposed to be LSU-Ohio State in the championship but we lost to Clemson in the semifinal game.

Have you guys thought about doing a Tua Tagovailoa video? Dude was insane in college at Alabama and had a rough end to his college career. I mean everyone was "tank for Tua" his hip injury few months before the nfl draft lowered his draft capital and he ended up going 5th overall to the Dolphins! Dude had a rough start in the NFL coming off that same injury but is a very good qb now

The NFL is hard. Most games are decided by 1 or 2 plays. That is the difference between winning the superbowl and picking Joe Burrow 1st overall. The NFL is hard. Everyone is good. Everyone is fast.

Chase was selected 5th overall the year after Burrow went #1. he influenced the pick. there was a lot of debate at the time that they should have selected Penei Sewell because the Bengals desperately needed Offensive lineman. Worked out for the Lions as well as Sewell was as good as advertised as was Chase.

2001 University Of Miami 38 kids from this team went on the NFL. Most first round picks ever on one team. The only team picked by the fans in an ESPN poll of beat 2005 USC team. Two players have won multiple Heisman's: Ohio State Archie Griffin and University of Florida's Tim Tebow. Ironically, both players were not hits in the NFL.

Burrow had a tore calf muscle. He couldn't run or throw further than 10-15 yards. Higgins has broken ribs. So even though we're 3-3, the offense has been bad. Hopefully the bye week of rest helps the players heal

Joe burrow was in a QB battle in the off season with dwayne haskins and before the battle officially ended burrow decided to transfer pretty much making the decision for ohio st …. This being said it’s debatable whether u could say burrow even should have been the starter if he decided to stay because that season haskins had significantly better stats then burrow…. Obviously burrow would go on to improve and smash pretty much every single college passing record there is but that first season it looked like haskins was the better QB… haskins then went into the nfl and tragically passed away a few years into his career…. Burrow in his second season at lsu had arguably the greatest single season any player has ever had in college and is currently playing for the bengals with former lsu teammate jamar chase
