@TAKEDOWN I thought it was because homo-sapiens had to get more creative. Neanderthals were physically stronger than homo-sapiens, so it was only natural they would rely on such strength to hunt, but since homo-sapiens were so much weaker they were forced to use their brains. They found that the only way they hunt efficeintly at that time was if they made and used javelins to kill their meat. This meant that the homo-sapiens had found a much safer way to fight battles than the Neanderthals and thus gained the ultimate advantage over them.

Fun fact: scientists speculate that the way bats jump into the air, is similar to the way some of the giant pterosaurs manage to get off the ground, and because they didnt had to invest evolution points leveling up their legs, they only needed to level up their arm strength which means they were still light enough to fly, allowing them to affort gigantism

@thehumanpractice29854 жыл бұрын
I think that the basis for the human build need to be viewed at in a zoologic, biologic and anthropologic point of view: - For one part, you're an individual animal, and you need to survive. You need shelter, food, water and you need to be outside physical (or psychological, since humans have this trait significantly developed, like it or not) danger. To attend these in modern society, you most often than not, need a job, or some way to produce money, since it's the actual currency of human society in general. Regarding psychological hazards and necessities, they will be developed further. - The human animal has developed a high cognitive state (as claimed by them), and this produces an unique individual, besides common necessities. This uniquenes can traduce in uniqueness of likes and dislikes, choices, aspirations, communication preferences, ideas, visions, etc... To develop the complete and uttermost of your build, you have to get to know yourself, and train both the cognitive and physical skills available to you, in whatever way you like, to whatever extent you desire (memory, sciences, arts, everything in between, and also your body, your physical capabilities, not only STR training, but RANGE, AGI, STAMINA, CHA, tendons, bones, and... you get the idea, whatever you can train, whatever you can improve). I would highly recommend to get the most out of the survibability tree first (optimal hydration, optimal nutrition, and optimal sleep) before moving onto others, but it's understandable that they are long processes, and the work needs to be interleaved and slow between these three tress, rather than fast and uneven. Meditation is another great skill that helps clear the mind to keep your INT and DEX stat as maxed as possibly, to say the least. - And finally, you have yourself amongs society: a human-made concept that sets rules and standards for other humans to follow. Whatever you do, you attend this last: If you start pleasing this tree first, you'll probably develop ailments under the Stress tree, such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, and other psycho, emotional and physical issues. Here you link whatever you found in your 2 previous trees with how the world around you works: this world can be a City biome, or Small Town, or Rural, or... well, there are too many. But usually, the more you know about yourself, the more you can naturally push your limits to meet the necessities of others around you -be it friends, family, job positions, or others - without feeling you're losing yourself (because you already explored the other 2 trees). Just remember that you're probably going to have to work on these three at the same time: Because humans are multidimensional individuals this way. It's rare the scenario where you can just focus on just one aspect, and usually if that's the case, other aspects are going to be out of control, if not attended soon. But that's my opininon. I hope this was helpful.

With its record-breaking size, unmatched soaring ability, and its play-style that focused primarily on scavenging, I believe it was the best pterosaur build to play as. I think might be a few problems/inaccuracies in this video. First, im pretty sure that the idea of small pterosaurs acting like oxpeckers for larger dinosaurs was made up by the Walking with dinosaurs series and doesn't have much evidence, as mentioned in an episode by Ben G. Thoma. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5Kzi2Z8h56Fp9k Second,you show some ofthe larger pterosaurs, including what I think are Azdarchids like Quetzalcoatlus as scavengers, a theory that was popular when Quetzalcoatlus was discovered, but was latter discredited. I dont know about some of the other large pterosaurs but as I understand it the most common theory for Azdarchid feeding is that they were ground predators eating small animals, sort of like a giant stork, also mentioned by Ben G Thomas in this video. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGW6cqdsbc9ppJI. Re: puncturing a wing. My understanding from Mark Witton's statements is that wing punctures were probably the kind of thing that wouldn't ground pterosaur for long. Healing extremely fast as fibrils and membranes regrew. I slightly question whether bird feathers are really less vulnerable, as a mildly cut membrane likely wouldn't ground a pterosaur flight feathers can always be plucked or buckled. Or indeed, simply ruffled.
@trvth1s4 жыл бұрын
I would also add, birds biomechanically have their foot and foot claw readily availiable for attack while they fly, unlike pterosaurs [or bats]. Bats have been around for 60 million years and not once have we seen an apex predator that could compete with birds of prey. Birds have a break but they can also use powerful talons. I would imagine pterosaurs saw the same disadvantage in small size, so getting bigger than any bird ever could during flight was their solution. Birds have a size constraint in flight due to feathers, there are studies on this. Bats don't grow to pterosaur size because of several more limitation including their mammalian respiratory system [which is primitive when compared to archosaur], solid bones [unlike hollow bones] etc
@petersmythe64624 жыл бұрын
@@trvth1s Definitely agree on feet being independent helping birds. Re: bats. My impression is that their bones are still quite derived in a different way. They are unusually flexible. The claw positioning thing probably explains the lack of known hawker pterosaurs. There were definitely insectivores but no dedicated aerial hunters of large prey that I know of.
@petersmythe64624 жыл бұрын
@@trvth1s I think there are some fish hunting bats that might be competitive with a seagull or something at doing that. Of course, they've done the whole nocturnal specialization thing which really limits their options to become meta-defining.
@petersmythe64624 жыл бұрын
@Macdonalds Mascot but I suspect a puncture (not a cut) would not disable a pterosaur wing as long as it's not all the way to the trailing edge. And their wings are still far from a simple sheet of skin the way bat wings are. They've got some rigidity and directionality to them due to internal structural actinofibrils. They're not as strong as bird feathers but a puncture likely would not simply cause the wing to enter a state of flutter, although it's doubtful a cut all the way down the patagium would still allow useful lift.
@trvth1s4 жыл бұрын
@@petersmythe6462 yes i know there's even some bats that hunt rodents but i have never heard of a large bat that could take down prey like bird of prey. There are videos of eagles working together to take out wolfs, i am certain no bat ever did this. In the past there were eagles that made a living off hunting us humans! We have fossil evidence of this. There have been eagles nests found littered with human bones. Where bats set themselves apart is where many mammals set themselves apart: earlobes. Earlobes are diches which help many mammals better track sounds, though owls have been ableto replicate this with facial feathers, and like foxes, can track prey under the snow. But some mammals have taken this to the next level with sonar, including bats and some aquatic mammals. Bats are essentially like early pterosaurs which can hunt at night. Batrachognathus was an early pterosaur which filled the same niche as birds now have for daytime insectivores, but they were built like bats. Teeth and all. Unfortunately they had no sonar, so in the end of the jurrassic extinction birds filled their niche. With that said pterosaurs had airsacs and hollow bones so they were unquestionably better flyers than any bat ever. Bat bones have marrow, to stay light they were very thin and structurally weak. With sonar they created a new niche but i suspect bats will never get to pterosaur size.

They also seem to get a morale boost hypothesising about them, so my theory is that many myths such as the dragon are outcomes of certain story-telling branches, which have been exploited to change the names of some species to the point where the devs were forced to change it in the menu such as komodo dragons and dragonflies/griffonflies (Although we have no evidence of griffonfly seen as it’s only playable in the non-accessible beta, and its current name was popularised by human mains).

Breaking the whole ARG world real quick, it is honestly really interesting to think about the ramifications of the video game world you created. If there are actual people playing the game, what are they? They can't be humans. Also what do they do when they aren't playing the game? This is implied by the fact that they have save files, therefore you must be saving it so you can have a break. Say though that there are no "breaks" because it's really just a metaphor for actual life and a "playthrough" really is just a creature living life. The lore of this ARG like world is very interesting. Heck, are we the viewers human players watching videos or are we outside of the game? This question is even weirder because it is implied that we are outside the game (because he his talking about the game) but also inside the game (refers to KZbin as a human playstyle). Maybe everyone in on the ARG is outside the video game? The simplest answer is TierZoo has created a very fun way of looking at the history of life and it shouldn't be taken too deep, but who enjoys not going too deep?

Obviously we are watching from the lobby room in the afterlife. You know waiting to respawn and trying to figure out which build to respawn as. I for one would like to try the bird of prey build.

zlkimagenX To be honest I really like that idea. It actually incorporates the aspect of it being real life but also a game. There still is the question, are Tier Zoo's inside or outside the game?

@@MrMalix Both? I consider him a community contributor. The devs have obviously given him special privileges, like the fact that he can run replays of previous builds he's done. A feature locked from us. So he makes these videos in the afterlife but is also able to link them to our current human playthroughs do to him being a community contributor.

This is one big ass metaphysical metaphor pretty much. Once you get past all of the “love light life” “omg 420 bro vibessss” spirituality you see over the internet, what TZ does is talk about reality thru the lense of video games. You chose a build (the human you’re reading the comment with), the attributes, (likes, dislikes, genetics, aptitudes, etc) the meta (the time period) all of that, just because what do you do when you’re bored of your current “existence” and feel like being entertained? You turn the game on and live a life according to that universe’s simulated rules. Only difference in TZ’s vids and our lives in this here “reality” is that we’re well aware we’re not a part of his game and we’re just observers passing through, yet in our actual lives we took a shot of amnesia before we loaded up the character, forgetting that we are not the actual human going through the daily motions of life, but the being using the human as a character to interact with this universe’s simulated reality. Tldr; real life is gta Online except we really think we are that character we made because we signed up to forget who we were before the character loaded up. Only you can find out who you really are, tho, and that’s an inner journey only you can go on.

Good lord I've just been outdone by these lads. Clearly they should be doing the theorizing and not me

Can you examine the American bison as a main? I think they are slept on because not a lot of players choose them as their main, but they have some fantastic base stats and really only started to lose matchup battles when they interacted with highly equipped human mains. They have great group stats and 1v1 abilities. Would love to hear a review of them, thanks.

From what I’ve gathered, the two strongest Pterosaur builds were the Dexterity-based Quetzalcoatl, and its Strength-based counterpart, the Hatzegopteryx.
