Good old BMR.. We have waited for weeks and it still gasent dried down.. My older farmer friend in canada about 3 hours north of you has gone back to conventional years ago and gets the same digestibility but driez down fast . 13 foot tall this year. Pre is rr post,i cant recall but mixes with liquid fertilizer. He loves the 100$ bag seed price and lower population rate. Hes happy.. Grain corn is all traited dekalb pioneer stuff.. Hes also an alfalfa/ orchard grass 80/20 believer coming from the 100 percent alfalfa program. He sure likes the size if yiuyr farm Andy ,but then shakes his head no.. Way too much going on,he says..

You'd be lost if you had to go back to the older style headers that had to follow rows. Those rotary style heads give you a lot of flexibility to adapt to field conditions. Sure doesn't take long to fill a truck in good corn!!!

@mikei2545 Жыл бұрын
What happens in the bunk if the moisture gets too high?
@chucklesx Жыл бұрын
It reduces the dry matter percentage of the feed mix which can reduce milk production as the cows can't physically eat enough of it. Also the wetter it is the more chance you have of the moisture seeping out of the clamp into the manure store and taking nutrients with it.

That must be crazy having to move large equipment between fields that far apart! I remember acting as a buffer for a combine, but the average driver had no idea why I had my lights flashing. They would try to pass me only to find the road completely blocked by equipment. They were in so much of a hurry they nearly out did the local bicycle idiots. I keep watching for bicycle idiots to become impaled on farm equipment as they ride down the road with their eye closed, with eye buds in, and they assume no one uses the roads in the middle of nowhere. Ever notice how those bicycle guys can afford a $10,000 bicycle, the outfit to match, but they leave their ability to reason at home?

I notice your radios open the squelch (noise bursts) quit often. Maybe it is your radios talking just at the edge of their range.. but if not, are you using coded squelch (AKA tone squelch, coded squelch etc)?? If you don't have that turned "ON" then you should to get rid of the annoying noise bursts. Mic needs to be hung up for the radio to filter the received signals. Usually need a metal microphone clip on the back to enable it. I owned a two-way radio business for 40 years.. (Nuhn Industries was one of my customers just up the road from my office).
@FarmingFixingFabricating Жыл бұрын
It only does it when I have the 6db antenna on it.
@brucehislop8860 Жыл бұрын
@@FarmingFixingFabricating It should not matter which antenna, but since it does, I suspect you may have the Monitor function turned ON (Press MON button to turn that OFF) or you don't have the "Privacy Codes" feature enabled. See your owners manual for instructions on how to turn that feature ON. A noisy radio can add stress to your already stressful day!!

Do you ever skip fungicide on some acres so the corn matures sooner? We have such trouble getting corn out of the field if we fungicide every acre. Honestly, this year we only realized a 4-6 bushel increase on fungicide ground.

I shouldn't have said "mature" it just doesn't dry down.

After seeing the ALMIGHTY CLAUS on his video ide love to hear your commentary. Yes, they use contractors to chop but I don’t understand and if you get time, ide love to hear what you can explain. I have heard you talk about shims before but never have seen you shut down for that long. Now this is England. He’s also really proud of his parlor. Channel is Tom Pemberton farms or something like that. Also don’t understand his bunks. Is that so he can add concrete on the future? Just need a degenerate to explain it to me if possible!
