You want a fun fighter build that I use with Eder? Dual Weilding, Knockdown (Full Attack = 2 chances to knock down and extra damage) Arms Length (pull enemy, interrupt spells) Extra Knockdown. Literally can just stop casters or perma-stun targets for free and deal a ton of damage. I use that as my "tank", no shield.

If you run Eder plus rather squishy characters and you don't want to use Company Captain's Cap on him, then you might also pick up Mental Fortress talent, you really don't want your only tank to get Dominated even for a moment, because that means he drops all the engagement. EDIT. As for boots, Fenwalkers are my choice.
