Hi! The best foil to use is the Foil Quill brand foil as it has been tested and developed specifically for the Foil Quill.

I just found out that I’m getting the fuse heat sleeve tool for Christmas and a set of attachment tips. I really wish you could offer a special tip for that tool as well. Are there any plans for that option in the near future? I love the idea of adding on to an existing tool, rather than buying two heat tools that do similar crafting. Please consider it :) Thanks for the great video and I’m excited to try my sleeve fuse tool in a few weeks 😉 I love making the 6x8 scrapbook binders and also making my own individual sleeve pages in hand crafted shapes and sizes. +shellyqt We haven't tested this tool with that foil but do know it doesn't work with the Heidi Swapp Minc foil... The Heatwave foil was developed specifically to go with the Heatwave tool

Sherri Henderson It's just now shipping worldwide to retailers so I would look for it on shelves and online in the next couple of weeks! You can also request it of a retailer near you with item #662586. This tool only works with the Heatwave foil and won't work with Minc foil.

+Kathy Zerbes It is not the same tool as the Fuse.. The heat output and tips are different. You can use the Heatwave Foil with the Fuse, however for similar results... The tip on the Heatwave Foil Pen isn't removable and is cordless - running on batteries.

PinkFleetwood Yes, you can use the fuse with the foil but the tips are different than the Heat Wave Pen so you'll get a different look.

thank you! maybe in the future we r memory keepers sells tips for the fuse tool that have the same effect? I really love these both tools and am looking foreward to be able to buy them here in germany. at the moment they are sold out everywhere, but so I am hoping to get a set like hsn sold it, with more tips and in purple. the blue is nice, too. I will need a heatresistant mat, too. so that hsn set is very cool but they don't send to germany. Love all your videos and thanks a lot!

No, the tool needs to be directly on the foil, but a cool technique is to trace on the foil with marker and then follow that as a guide. Hope that helps!

No, I don't think you understand what I am trying to ask. I mean, if you place the foil over a printed surface and go over it with the tool, will it transfer? Does it work like the Minc machine by Heidi Swapp?

I think the heat from the tool makes it adhere to pretty much anything, meaning if you went outside the boundaries of your laser-printed/embossing powdered design, it would not look great. I think this is more of a freeform foil option, even though there are stencils.

It is a pitty that you didn't make it with changeble tips. This tip is quitte wide to use with brass stencils. For the rest it is a great tool that works great.

In my opinion is a waste of money if you dont offer a tip/niv set to have the option to use finer tip. Got for my son wedding invitations and the tip is to big for the stencil they wanted. I should bought gotten the set from the link you provided.

Seems like a waste?? Why not just use a nice pen, or marker?? Plus, all the tape used to stick things down,,even then the paper moves everywhere. Add then the pen itself . Oh, my goodness. Imagine dropping that off my craft table. I'd burn a hole, or my dog could get seriously hurt, as he lays at my feet when I craft. Would not be getting this at all
