Great video! Just installed Demco plate on my 2010 Liberty using your video as guide. A few differences but pretty much the same. Probably easier to work the fender clips during hot weather. Even though garage is heated I still needed to point a radiant heater at the fender to get some flex. Getting ready to install the lighting hookup this week. Thanks again.

Thanks, glad you found it helpful. When we installed the baseplate, the lighting system and the brake system we were in the middle of a heatwave here. :)

GREAT JOB AGAIN:). Looking to get a Jeep Liberty as a tow on a 3401 Newmar. Can you offer any advice on a year, what to look out for or make sure you get? How did you like yours? I believe it has to be a manual in order to tow all 4 down. Love the wrangler but have 2 Golden Retrievers who like the back windows rolled down which the wrangler doesn't have.

Thank You! The 3401 is a nice rig, we looked at getting one before settling on the Jayco. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has a back seat and back windows that go down, just another option. As for the Liberty, too bad, we just sold our and if was completely setup to be a toad. We would suggest staying with the 2008-2012 body style, there was more room in that style. The Liberty was discontinued in 2012. Ours was an automatic and you can tow one 4 down with a manual or automatic. It towed just fine. I used to turn on the rear camera on just to make sure it was still there. The same with the new Wrangler now. :)

Thanks for the info and advice. Would have loved yours:) I saw the automatic in part 2....lol I presume in the 2011 the steering wheel doesn't lock when you take the key out. Nice setup. I will look for a 2011...what a load off...I thought selecting the rig was bad:) Wonder what it would cost to have it set up like yours, the wiring looked like a hard time.

It depends what you are comfortable with, it really wasn't that bad. I'm a little OCD when it comes to hiding wires. :hahaha

I have a 2011 jeep liberty. spent all day trying to take the front bumper cover off. I should have seen this video first. I was so wrong on several steps. anyway thanx for making my job easier. putting recovery hooks on my jeep? hey its a "trail rated" 4 x 4,,,, why would it come with recovery hooks. that would be a great idea.......(lets not do it says Chrysler).

Glad you found the video useful. Tow hooks would be a good Idea, I agree! We have had our Liberty in a couple hairy situations and it's a good offroad vehicle. :)
