It is wonderful to see the boldness of a young girl who wishes to be caught up in the magic of music and dance, if even alone at the beginning. The gentleman who came to her assistance was very gallant, a disappearing trait in our time. Congratulations to both of them for this lesson. As always the organists at the Ballroom, provide music to lift the spirits, whether listening or dancing, and for those of us far away on the internet. Thanks!

It would be great if I could sit at the console and play this beautiful organ providing great music to listen or dance to. I would love trying out all it has to offer in making lots of great sounds.

Play this in a care home and you'll be guaranteed to have some tears among both residents and staff. Imagine this old lady with dementia sitting in her chair in the living room, eyes welling up, vaguely remembering when she and her Cyril used to dance to this just after the war ❤😢

Saw Chris. John B, Mark Allen And Phil at the tower last week, my first visit since 2010. Really enjoyed listening to all of them. But I must say that Chris on the Roland was superb. He has turned the Roland into something extremely versatile and entertaining. Many thanks to all of you.

When I think back to when they announced a new organist at the Tower to replace Ernest Broadbent, I first thought after hearing him Phil Kelsall ,I don't think he will last? He was then playing an ABBA medley ,and forty odd years later, the said organist is still there and still likes to play an ABBA medley! Phil was definitely the man for the job,I wonder who will try to fill his shoes when he hands over the console??

It’s amazing to see the pride that Blackpool have for their ball rooms and for that fantastic sounding Wurlitzer Organ. It’s a shame that Wolverhampton City Council did not take a leaf out of your book when the left wing Labour council decided to scrap the fantastic Compton organ at our Civic Hall. Shame on you Wolverhampton City Council, Perhaps you should watch this video to see why the organ was so important to keep.

[Q] At 47-seconds into this video we see two chandeliers hanging over the uppermost balcony. Today those chandeliers are missing although the wall fittings they hung from remain. Where did they go? That observation aside, great videos on your channel. More please!
