Wes Hall, Charlie Griffiths, Alan Davidson and Sir Garfield Sobers

Twenty two of the world's greatest fast bowlers came to London in September 2011 to support cricket's no.1 charity, The Lord's Taverners. The Macquarie Fast Bowlers Dinner raised £100,000 to help give young people a sporting chance.
The 22 fast bowling legends attending were: Curtly Ambrose (WI), Andrew Caddick (Eng), Colin Croft (WI), Alan Davidson (Aus), Kapil Dev (Ind), Joel Garner (WI), Darren Gough (Eng), Charlie Griffith (WI), Wes Hall (WI), Sir Richard Hadlee (NZ), Michael Holding (WI), Glenn McGrath (Aus), Devon Malcolm (Eng), Makhaya Ntini (SA), Mike Procter (SA), Clive Rice (SA), Andy Roberts (WI), John Snow (Eng), Sir Garry Sobers (WI), Jeff Thomson (Aus), Courtney Walsh (WI) and Bob Willis (Eng).

When I was 12 years old I was the schools fastest bowler . This was at the Prospect Demonstration school in Adelaide Gary Sobers came to the school one day for a cricket exhibition in the nets . He was playing for South Australia at the time He asked who the best bowler in the school was . Everyone pointed at me He threw me the ball and then walked into the nets to face up So I got to bowl an 8 ball over at Gary Sobers . That is probably my greatest cricket memory . By the way he was forced to defend a few deliveries

It sad that they did not play in an era of great tv coverage. These guys are legends. Played in an era of uncovered pitches, no batsmen friendly rules and conditions of today. Youngsters should research them more.. Hall n Grifith were mean fast bowlers in their era, Dexter fine English batsman, Davidson quality Aussie cricketer and Sobers needs no intro. The king of entertainment on the field

Why not nari contractor was invited when charlie griffith was there as bcoz in his bowling nari contractor was injured severely, succeeded his life vth blessing of god during tour of west indies in 1961?
