Awesome! Ruud, Pim and Han were a well known dutch jazz trio at the time. Han was so young here.:) He's a great drummer, one of my heroes and still going strong today! A very spirited player, love his playing with Micha Mengelberg and the ICP.

I am not really into this music but this is for me an outstanding performance, I saw the bw version some years ago. The joyful play of all musicians is a treat. The interruptions when Wes explains what he would like, in his charming way, it is just incredible to watch and see what comes out of it. Props to the Jacob brothers and Han Bennink (I hope that this is correct) and Wes for this awesome performance. Love it.

Nica's Dream is such a beautiful, beautiful song especially the beginning when those 2nd riffs come in.. I can't explain Wes's playing is nothing short of Angelic, gorgeous fretboard action his Music helped reshape my persona it humbled me deeply it made me want to be more loving, sophisticated it helped me hatch out that ghetto shell soothed my hothead smoothed me out into a more thoughtful man im forever grateful!!.. that's Y music is EXTREMELY important it is Spiritual and most fans of Music are built and shaped by it there is a tune for every mood we are moved and controlled by it from making love to fighting even murdering, speaking of violence for the younger generations could use some JazZ I always recommend it bc I know it can completely change a being for the better and they need it Most when I go get bud at the MD I always trying to get them to listen to JazZ if ur going to smoke, chill & listen to tunes nothing goes better together maby reggae but A joint and JazZ go hand &hand Peace & Blessings to you reading and Safe Journey's.......

Amazing how piano player Pim Jacobs gets the complicated chord progression, without knowing the tune beforehand, and his brother Ruud on bass follows suit. No problems for them playing from Bb minor, via Ab minor to G flat. And what first seemed a ballad tempo, suddenly becomes an uptempo tune.

Wes smooth as buttah. As always. Plays guitar as naturally as a dolphin glides through the water. That thumb should be on display at the Smithsonian. (That's weird, I know).
