@@cardengixoth6878 It is only in the arrogance of mankind that we would name the reflection of might 'humanity'. Across the Galaxy, it is one of the very few logical principals that persists throughout organic life, regardless of sector, system and world. As such, it stands to reason that even Xenos filth long since distant to life as moons to base organisms, would recall the old logic. The logic of war. Of conquest and strife. Who better to reflect on another's might, than them, born in weakness, than them, who reign over the very stars themselves.

The fact that the silent king actually verbally addressed Dante is an extreme form of respect. He hasn't talked to anyone except to his triarch in millions of years. One of the major taglines about 40k I was told that inspired me is - every faction has a reason to fight every other, including themselves, and a reason to work with every other faction. - and that really got me because it means if you’re smart, you could reasonably figure out a way for any 2 factions to work together against another faction. And it adds to much personality and character to 40k

There was also apparently an alliance between the Necrons and the Grey Knights, as they appear to have a large stash of Tesseract Labyrinths. The Clade Callidus assassins also appear to have C'tan phase swords. Both of these organisations were formed in the 30th Millennium by Malcador - the GK codex in which it's mentioned states that relations with the race who provided the labyrinths have since broken down, indicating they were acquired as the result of diplomacy with the Necrons. It wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that Malcador might select Sanguinius as an emissary for such a secret mission .

@@trazyntheinfinite yeah it would make sense too - Tesseract Labyrinths can be used to perpetually trap demons which means unlike banishment they can't just respawn. The only problem is the timing - it would probably have to be after Signus Prime but pre-siege of Terra. It couldn't be during Imperium Secundus either as if Malcador could speak to Sanguinius they'd have known the Emperor lived. The only other option I suppose is if the Silent King actually confronted Sanguinius and gave him the tesseracts, then once on Terra Malcador took them for his Knights Errant. I guess Szarekh would have reason to do so, Necrons not being a fan of Chaos themselves. The other potential option mind is they were completely unrelated incidents and the tesseracts were instead a gift to Malcador from Trazyn - who probably thought it'd be fun to give some humans a load of pokeballs and see what they got up to.

There was another team up in the Shield of Baal campaign. From Shield of Baal: Devourer: "'We fought alongside the humans at the Silent King’s command once before. It sounds a lot like the silent king has some sort of soft spot in his heart for humanity somehow. Like he doesn't necessarily outright care *so much*, but for whatever reason would prefer the human race to still be around when the necrons get their souls and flesh back. Maybe the emperor will wake up at some point and actually help the necrons get flesh back, considering his dominance over the field of genetic engineering and the fact that the imperium as it is regularly vat-grows servitors.

The Silent King reached out and grasped Dante’s wrist in a remarkably Imperial manner. Then he leaned in with an alien grace that should have been impossible for a machine, and whispered something into the Chapter Master’s ear. "I speak the truth." The Silent King spoke to him. Tycho and I both strained to hear, but the words were lost to the breeze. Dante recoiled slightly, his face a picture of shock and confusion. Then he composed himself, and nodded to Szarekh. And so the alliance was accepted.

The VO was pretty good here. The Stormtrooper sounded like an average Joe. This allowed his performance to bounce pretty good off the Kriegian's more despair filled poetry. There is room for improvement in the VO department and it would be cool to have a sort of slight muffle effect for the Kriegian. But you did great overall. Edit How did this get here? I meant this for a different video! But your VO work was great too.

**Spoiler** Ok s,o there's one thing that I love fantasizing about and that I hope will become true in future lore. Basically in recent lore, the chad Ghaz is hunting down Angron, after the daemon primarch somehow killed his long rival commisar Yarrick. And seeing how strong Angron has become recently (the fact that after being banished he can come back to the real world in 8 weeks, the recent destruction he caused where Khorne of all people, intervened directly like the emperor did with Mortarion), I would love to see Guilliman, fighting his brother in a losing battle, but suddenly, a massive "Waaagh!" arrives during the conflict with one angry ork boss shouting "Fund Ya!". Then Ghaz proceeds to jump Angron (megatron and sentinel prime style), saving our favorite blue boy's ass and banishing the red angel for good this time (with some Gork and Mork woodly doo, but this part is irrelevant, it can go however GW intends).
@ballsinurmouth-2
@ballsinurmouth-2 Жыл бұрын
they will never banish him for good. there is too much money to make off of primarchs. and ghaz doesn't have it in him to perma kill daemons that is a very rare thing to happen. he'd have to get blasted the same way if not harder than horus did by the emperor

It's a sad story for many reasons. Deep down, under all the drama, culture and pageantry, the Blood Angels really are the nihilists the Necron narrator accuses them of being, willing to blow themselves and billions of innocents up on the off chance it might make a difference. They were too blinded with hate to realise what the Necrons were up to, or to twig their allies were just as willing to screw them over as they were in return. And for all that, the Necrons honoured them, in a fashion. Ultimately, though, it's about a very lonely being who wanted to make a friend with another lonely being, and still hoped to make a connection with them through their children. Szarek knew Dante and his boys were rigged to blow, but he also knew the mask of their Primarch would stop them in their tracks. And he also knew that Dante was key to Sanguinius' long term plans. So, he kept the ingrate alive, while not making it too easy for the angry little git. For all their own scheming and machinations, it's hard not to read The Word of the Silent King and think the Necrons were the better men - not that this is saying much.

It's really hard to argue against quite a bit of the necrons views on humanity alot of thier views are near spot on so for the necrons to think Sanguinius would have been a better leader than the Emperor is very interesting to say the least.
