Literally the only updates I want from Instagram are for us to be able to pause a Reel instead of just mute it, and for the damn videos to stop bobbing up and down when they finish to show us how to scroll to the next one. We know how to scroll, we've been using TikTok for 4 years now 🙄

Another feature i saw in stories was CREATING your own stickers (cutting out from a pic) within the app and saving it for future use. Business accounts could be using their logos or branded call to actions. Im quite excited for that one. Thank you for the updates !

Is it just me or have carrousels had music for some time now? And I've also been able to edit DM messages for quite some time now. And you've always been able to like notes as well. I'm kinda confused because a lot of these aren't new.

Carousels have had music but they will be putting them in the reels feed which is the new feature

EDIT: 9:43 I'm sick of these platforms forcing us to watch Ads 🤦🏻‍♂ So irritating. At least KZbin lets you skip most ads. Had to pause the video at 0:49 because that would be awesome feature.

The advantage to notes is that it bumps your profile bubble toward the front of the line as an active user. I think people read them, but rarely directly respond. Thank you for sharing the updates. I’m interested in doing the text overlays for carousels.

omg yes 20 frame carousels would be a godsend for people that are making narrative art. Would love it to be even longer because I know other comic creators who found success being able to post their comics to instagram and nothing else (really bingeable content, people know exactly what they're getting when they subscribe) but my comic episodes are 15-40 panels, so I haven't really been able to upload them on instagram, and found a really hard time getting my audience on instagram to WT or Tapas where it's hosted proper.

7:25 - I think the files upload keeps the resolution intact (video, GIF, etc.) for sharing with someone unlike uploading it within the platform feature - reduces the resolution. Even for small MB documents (I am thinking Canva or Designer files) - maybe they want to enter this phase of the app in the near future and are testing file uploads - it's another data mine point for Meta, really.

Notes feels like a status banner / headline to me. Like before people click into someone’s story they could read a little teaser banner of what content they can expect that creator is up to. Ex: Myself as a wedding videographer maybe I’ll note “new film live: Florida destination wedding” - etc etc

I love using notes to promo my carousel posts. I will choose a song in both the carousel and the notes and add a note caption “✨new post🍒” they can listen to the song both places and I’m setting a vibe. (Or at least that’s my hope.) I would like to see a click thru feature where you will be taken directly to my carousel. 🎠

I wonder if they are going to bring us an update where you could actually reach Instagram help? And I don't mean in like a day, but at least maybe in a week or month? 🙈 I am being serious here: how can you invest in all those updates and NOT provide ANY user support for the existing ones? From my own experience: I can't access any broadcast channels, I have filed a report a month ago - no reply, of course, because my last report from July last year has not been viewed by them yet (they removed my post and I submitted an appeal). Maybe Meta verified members do get support, but I physically cannot pay that to them - but even if I could, it is so wrong that technical support is not provided for all users on what is declared to be a free app.

Instagram structure has turned very much into business.
