I think fifa should organize a proper send off for messi because there will be no other player like him in world football . The impact he has made on the sport and the joy he has given us for just watching him play will never ever be felt and matched for many years to come and world football owes him a lot for that. MLS is definitely not on the same level on a sporting level, however it is very challenging to play in for reasons that many Europeans do not appreciate before they arrive. Sheer scale is one. The UK is smaller than Oregon, so the entire Premier League takes place in an area where we have one MLS team. MLS teams routinely travel distances for league matches, week in week out, that European clubs don't do for Champions League matches. This weekend my team the Seattle Sounders are going to Charlotte, North Carolina for a regular league match. That's the equivalent of PSG heading to Azerbaijan for a Ligue 1 fixture. And since MLS is a league where expenses are controlled, most of these flights are coach flights. It's a challenging league for even the best players to make their mark. Ask Steven Gerrard, Bastian Schweisteiger, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Zlatan. I think Messi will succeed, but it he won't be able to just coast.

That's what I've been saying. If Europeans expect MLS to be a cake walk, they should stay in Europe. The travel is brutal, playing in the summer heat here is brutal, and the league is extremely physical. What defenders lack in skill, they make up for in hard tackles lol. Playing surfaces have gotten a ton better in recent years but there are still a number of turf fields. The skill level is lower but that doesn't mean it's easy.

To be honest psg was already a level down drop for Messi. They could have succeeded in champions league but they didn’t know how to utilise Messi. Everyone will say he didn’t run as much or had less influence at psg but compare that to the Argentina national team who had unknown players but still won a World Cup. Argentina and Barcelona were team players which is why Messi showed his genius , vision and quality . But psg isn’t a team working together it’s everyone for themselves and had the audacity to part ways with Messi.

Shnider should have gotten the Balandor in 2010. Players should only be eligible to win it once, then get an honorary award in other runs , so many people were robbed because Messi and CR7 were far too much of a media darlings. Even if Messi also deserved , it's not cool. Edit: I disagree whit 1 thing he said. Real is obviously the biggest when it comes to European success But Barcelona is a FEELING, the most magical players in history go to play there to prove how the beautiful game should look , they also give chances to young players and actually respect their legends (contrary to how Real does everything under the table as a brand) . The presidents are dirty and that is true for both Barca and Real but the clubs are VERY different in mentality.

Listen that 2010 BO was the first merged award between FIFA and France Football. Which had incorporated a popular vote. As we can research Sneidjer had prevailed in one set of journalists votes because of Inter Milan treble including the UCL. But Messi got it over Sneidjer who was not even on the podium because Xavi and Iniesta got more votes. Iniesta had been clutch in scoring the WC winning goal for Spain 🇪🇸. So he was a heavy contender too, in the eyes of many. But... but... Messi was in the prime of his prime. The planet Football ⚽️ was just getting to enjoy that decisive player... Messi had delivered an incredible season in Spain. He was the brilliant "Messi Playstation" version people never forgot about. I can't be any longer on this feed but there was no robbery so to speak. Nobody expected Messi to be so good, and setting his imprint so deep in aficionados' hearts, in spite of his national team demise at the WC. Iniesta's year had not been so good until the WC. But yet nobody will say his 2nd place robbed Wesley S. Because from then on a eyes were on Messi. And Messi was brilliant as a club player. No robbery. @@afrobuddy4801 Messi and CR7 are unique because no 2 players get in the Top3 for 14 years in a row, in every other case my method is better because people Like : ,,Tery Henry, Maradona, Shnider , Xavi, Iniesta,Pirlo,Bufon,Neymar,Lewandrovski, Nouer, Iniesta etc etc etc never won because of bs rules or came 2nd by tiny margins that are about as arbitrary as it gets. 45 players in history have won the Balandor (44+1 cuz Pele won a remake for career achievements) but at leas 200 more people should be honoured for having incredible years in those periods. Mind you, we are talking Top240 players EVER, they absolutely deserve.

If Messi does not win the Cup here, it will all be on him. The league is allowing him only to receive compensation from a league wide sponsor and sole international broadcaster. This is action tells the other 28 clubs that you don’t matter, just Miami. As a DC United supporter, I hope Messi does well, but Miami deserves to fail. The league shouldn’t prop up a failing and cheating(they were penalized for breaking league transfer rules) just because they like the market. MLS sold it’s soul to secure Messi, the league will be centered around Messi and the mission to make his team being a powerhouse brand with trophies to display. Many league clubs are trying to build through academies and smart transfer moves. Miami just proved that location and Financial patsies will jump to the top of the dinner table. I hope that this team realizes that gift they have been given and and accept any success with humility. I low Messi will. That being said, this deal stinks of favoritism and submission to a powerful, yet awful market in the league.
