I like small compact knives. This microblade looks interesting, what other blades do you conpare it with? I have a Civivi Baby Banter and a QSP Hamster which are compact are these comparable?

1. It’s a frame lock not a liner lock. 2. D2 is mediocre knife steel and is usually reserved for budget offerings. ie. It is NOT great steel as suggested and especially not at their asking price. 3. I sat here and watched the deployment fail 5 times in a row. In fact, I did not see a full open deploy from flipping once. That poor action is a key indicator of QC issues at best and overall quality at worst. I realize they are sending you free kit to review but honesty is paramount if you want in on this review game. If you think you were being honest then you need to learn about knives before posting reviews. I noticed you haven’t posted in awhile and this vid is a year old. Your presentation is good and you’re likeable so if you do jump back in just make sure you know your subject better because many of us watching already do. Knife nerds are pretty well versed on the intricacies of materials, steels, mechanisms, and action. If your not it will be evident in about 15 seconds and they’ll stop watching. That is certain death for KZbin’s algorithm.

I appreciate the feedback. Believe it or not, I try to be 100% honest when making videos, but I realized after this video I don’t have the chops/passion for knife reviews (hence why I don’t do them). I’ve learned a lot about how I want to make videos since I posted that and hope it shows in future videos. Thanks for the commentary! Also, didn’t know there was a difference between frame and liner so good to know.

D2 is a fine steel I mean I agree it’s a budget offering but when it’s done well it preforms extremely well, although seeing no other real reviews of this company online makes me wonder why

I don’t understand why he didn’t point out the major flaw which was deployment it failed every time I was actually thinking of getting this knife the quality is obviously very poor. I agree with your comment 100%. 🙏🏻

It could have been the tape glue that was on the blade that was impeding the knife from opening properly, either way D2 is a cheap steel, and at that price point it is not worth it for me, I would much rather go with a spyderco ambitious in 8cr if I were on a budget , I have a spyderco ambitious in s35vn steel and it is awesome

Couple of things. It’s called D2 tool steel. Not tool grade steel. Second it’s a frame lock not a liner lock👍

I must have received a dud. Terrible action and lock up. Doesn't open cleanly. I can also push it shut easily without touching the frame lock. The result is useless at best. More dangerous than a slip joint for opening packages at worse. I'm going to investigate a return but expect costly from Aus. Shame because I really like the clean minimalist aesthetic and materials.
