I've heard of WESN, but I don't own any of their knives. The quality and materials they use look top notch. The smallest one would be great on my keychain.

Bruh price hikes just hit Grant Stone. I figured it was coming but oof it hurt to see it. I’ve got 2-3 of their models on my wishlist but an extra $40 makes me want to either wait for a sale or push those purchases out a few months. Edit: I guess some models only went up $10 or so. Nice knife review btw. I’m a Spyderco guy myself but dabble in other brands too.

I'm torn between Blackout and Titanium color choice for the Microblade. You mention that you had the Blackout previously. Any disadvantage to the Blackout as far as scratches showing more?

Speaking of EDC ...what about your Fat Herbie from Ashland Leather? How about a wallet update?

I can't comment on the larger blades. However, my micro blade is very disappointing. Terrible action and lock up. Doesn't open cleanly. I can also push it shut easily without touching the frame lock. The result is useless at best. More dangerous than a slip joint for opening packages at worse. Maybe I got a dud. However, be aware of the risk. Their bigger blades may be better. However, my experience with this one has put me off further purchases. Shame because I like their clean minimal aesthetic

Does TI hold an edge well? I like my carry blades being shaving sharp.

Yes it does!

The handle scales are TI the blade is s35vn and yes it holds a sharp edge fairly well. S35vn was at the top of the mark a few years ago it is a powdered metallurgy steel and while it’s still considered a high grade it’s been bumper off the top by m390, 20cv, magnacut, s90v all of which are considered super steels and hold up much longer. You are hard pressed to find those steels in knives under $200 tho.
