Started on Ps5 but moved to XBox for it’s Quality Mode and other higher visual settings (PS had a more limited back compat, not a console war post) and had an awesome time. Played through it half a dozen times since. Although back then it was a month into the new gen and not enough people had those consoles. So I can see why the response was the way it was. I love the gameplay and trying to do missions differently and the various choices you get to make. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was far to short and that's my only complaint. It's a great story following a kid who just wants to matter. Kinda related to V and all of us in a way. I think that's the biggest point of Cyberpunk tbh.

I played and 100%'ed the game a month post-launch in January 2021 on a 5 years old CPU (at the time, i7 6700k, still rocking it right now), 16GB of RAM and a RTX 2080, and the game ran perfectly fine at high settings, with ZERO quest or visual bugs to report, and I remember no crash either. Cyberpunk was a clown fiesta on old gen consoles, and CDPR should be held accountable for choosing to release it at all. But the old gen debacle shouldn't hijack the entire narrative. On PC and next gen, even at launch Cyberpunk 2077 was still an amazing AAA FPS-RPG, was an amazing tech showcase for pushing graphics and urban level and visual design, had iconic memorable story and world building, and was my personal game of the year.

I joined the Cyberpunk community late on, I think around when patch 1.5 was live. I did experience the odd bug here and there, but overall I was so gripped by the game. But then when 2.0 and Phantom Liberty came out, my god. It was the game that CDPR promised it to be. I really hope the next installment in the Cyberpunk world carries on the good work the chooms at CDPR have done with Cyberpunk 2077

Forgot the inclusion of SBI also into the new team. Which is what can lead to Cyberpunk 2's downfall. It'll just be an agenda pushing game rather than an actual amazing story
@JohnSmith-ls3um3 ай бұрын
Other gaming companies-and those in other industries as well-should study how CDPR responded following Cyberpunk’s release. No redirection or pointing fingers; just admitting their mistakes, putting their nose to the grindstone, and working steadily over years to improve the product. That’s how you rebuild consumers’ trust.

So i bought this game on sale, sometime within the first year of release, but i never got around to playing it. It sat uninstalled for over a year. A few weeks ago I finally downloaded it and started my first playthrough. Im so grateful to my past self for not playing it any sooner, its such a fantastic game, so great i immediately bought the DLC after about 30 hours in my first playthrough. Still on my first playthrough and already thinking about my next V build

I did the same thing; I started playing it in late 2021 and, while the ps4 version was still buggy, it was a relatively good experience; then when I upgraded to the PS5, it was a completely different experience (in a great way) I didn’t play it again until about three months ago and I am still playing the game and enjoying every moment of it

It's a real shame that for #2 we see them hiring more and more DEI pushers and someone that just said " Cyberpunk2077 was a great game but it didn't go nearly for enough in push social commentary or political agenda. "
@xavierabii5484 ай бұрын
I will never understand why people make comments like this. Historically, a lot of videogames have had political commentary. Just because YOU don't agree with the rhetoric doesn't make it odd. The very world of Cyberpunk is political commentary.

Currently playing through on a 4090, 7800X3D and years of post launch improvements and I’m glad I waited….i bought it at launch with a 2080ti and after the disastrous launch, I made the hard choice to wait. And wait I did. And I am so damn happy that I did. Because what I’m playing right now is a masterpiece.

I pre-ordered this game and played it at launch. I loved the game from the start even with all the bugs and I might be biased because I played Cyberpunk 2020 with my friends back in the day. I just loved being immersed in that world and now that the game's been updated the way it has it's become one of my favorite games of all time.

This is a perfect game on next gen consoles and pc I just played my first playthrough this year after all the problems at launch I just never gave this game a chance and was kinda not hyped for a first person game but I can appreciate the choice and actually find it very immersive maybe if some cutscenes were in third person and we can see ourselves that’s literally my only complaint

The game feels empty and hollow. I expected the depth to be similar to RDR2

I love the first person for Cyberpunk 2077, it adds so much to the immersion. But when it comes to traveling around NC an all, I'm on my bike in third person to enjoy how my character looks.

If only CDPR had put as much time and energy into the actual game that they put into the gameplay demo... "We apologize for not showing gameplay on older gen systems because if we had we would not have gotten money from those players" - exact quote, probably

anyone can create a game and update it once in a while and be done with it, but there is no dev team like CDRP to have this much passion and give this much continuous love to a single game. mad respect.

I waited until a few months ago to buy the game and it was a 9/10 experience. Fantastic story, great atmosphere and awesome gameplay. It is sad that it’s a game so tarnished by the release. It is a very solid game but I know a lot of people that played on release and put it down never to try it again solely due to bugs. My brother played 7 hours and stopped on release and nothing I say will get him to try it again...

Cyberpunk was a major victim to over ambitiousness. This is the same thing that has plagued games like Assassins Creed Unity and No Mans Sky. I can understand how it happens and give respect to any game company that sticks with the game to repair the damage. True, like the other two games, a disasterous launch but by sticking with their game it has become one the better games out there. Good vid

New Game Plus is completely doable despite the reasons they gave for not doing it. Dying Light 2 did it to where New Game Plus skips the prologue and dumps you right in the map with all the previously collected gear, upgrades & skills earned. Here's how CDPR could do it for Cyberpunk: You'll start at the Difficulty option screen then it'll skip the character creator and lifepath selector since you'll be replaying on the same character save you did previously. Then it skips where you meet Jackie and goes straight to the 6th month montage then starts you at the Scav/Sandra Dorsett mission with all your gear, upgrades, clothing, money, stats etc. and that's essentially how they could do it.

The gangs definitely do play a role in the game. So many of the gigs and side stories to be uncovered in the world have to do with characters from the different games. Not to mention the several main story missions around maelstrom, voodoo boys, etc

I blame it on the Public practically forcing CDPR to drop. I’m sure shareholders were pressuring the higher ups in CDPR and kept them from taking the time they needed to fix the game.
@polly_sacharride3 ай бұрын
Anybody that played the TTRPG knows that its first 2 versions were set in 2013 and 2020. The first trailer for 2077 was released in 2013 and then the game was later announced to be released in 2020. I've always thought this was intended to be some sort of marketing "Easter egg". But instead of it being some cool little bit of information that CDPR could point out it instead turned into a massive blunder when at the end of 2020 they still weren't quite finished with the game and released it anyway.
