We discovered you guys last summer and have watched quite a few of your videos! We pulled our new camper to West Branch just this past August and took 2 grown daughters and 3 grandkids with us. Had a blast, and really loved that campground. Daughters rented a pontoon boat for a half-day while we were there, and all the kids got to go tubing. It was a wonderful time, a great campsite (I believe we were at 50), and we are looking forward to going back this year! Maybe we'll see you there! :)

We love West Branch!! We are staying this weekend and actually staying in campsite 58 in April!! They do have one of the best facilities of most of the state parks!! It’s one of our favorite places to kayak and fish as well! Maybe we will see ya there sometime! Enjoyed the video!!

West Branch is my go to state park since is one of the closest and it is very nice. You nailed the best sites but it is a pain to try to reserve. I want to check out the old primitive loop. I heard it is now full hookup. I will have to check out the firewood suggestion. I normally would go to TSC or Marcs.

They dont allow you to fly a drone at west branch. There some sort of military base nearby. In the evenings you can see the ✈ flying in.

I agree site #58 by the lake looks great I think it has a small flaw....When you put your awning out and want to sit right there it didnt look like there was alot of space. ??? Am I wrong?

Good catch! No your not wrong. Although theres plenty room to put out your awing there really not enough sitting room. West Branch has many sites like this. Usually the sitting area and fire pit is behind the RV. Alot of the sitting area are a nice size.

Great question, it had amenities the we both wanted we compromised . Husband wish list : outside kitchen , light weight so a 250 could pull , 50 inch inside TV. Me the wifey 🤪 wanted space for grandkids that don't camp but once a year, enclosed bedroom, and storage. However, I learned you need to buy for the ones camping not others. So our next purchase will be an A class . Not sure which one but we do baby steps lol..

Hello Mystical, no we dont have a thousand trail membership. We do need one though. We were just talking about a membership in order to travel. We are planning to do more traveling this year so we will be looking into membership. Do you have a membership? If so is there a big savings?

I don’t have an RV yet but I’m doing extensive research 😃 If you check out RV Odd Squad’s KZbin channel, I think they offer discounts. They have a hook up & know someone who sells the thousand trails memberships. If you purchase through them, you can get a discount. Amber from Story Chasing also has the membership. If you werent WAY up North the Wife and I would love to camp with you guys...oh,and I know how to fish.LOL We have a 2019 Lance 1995. A bit shorter than your 27 but it fits our needs with just the two of us and the two Boxer Dogs. Ours mainly sits on our 6k acre lease where we fish the dozens of lakes and ride around on the Polaris General at all hours of the night drinking adult beverages. If you ever get down to East Texas and want to do some beach camping or camping on our lease we are your connection for Texas

@@AdventureBandits1 I was referring to your camper lol. Sold my 20 ft Key West boat for the the Polaris General since I wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it. Of course the old adage still holds true,the best moments of boat ownership are when you buy it and when you sell it. Thinking about a new Pontoon boat now....problem is the Wife is afraid to tow anything.
