I agree with you about the stuff that has overflowed from the shops onto the pavement, something should be done about it, it's an eyesore. My local hardware shop is the same, and you can't get inside due to the crap on the floor, surely this is against fire regulations. I reckon everyone must be short of money, probably spent it before Christmas. Thanks again Phil and happy Christmas 🎄 👍

Felt nostalgic and saddened watching this today. Many years ago my late father had a shop called All Seasons with two gyms on top of it.. Next to crazy George. So sad to see it demolished and too see a once thriving town centre on its knees 😢

I lived down that way a few years back now, I was about 3 mile away from West Brom, I’m shocked at the change, shops closed down, rubbish everywhere, looks so run down and a place I would not want to go to again.

Not been to WB in years. What a shame. It's not like i remember. Watched your Bilston one earlier too. Same. Think we've been forgotten by our Government in all our area's in the Midlands.

Hi Phil, we used to go to West Brom every Saturday morning in the eighties, park in the multi-storey and go into sainsbury’s then into the indoor market, lot different now, any chance you could do a video down Halfords Lane and around the baggies, lots of industry once, i’m from Halfords Lane myself

The Queens centre could make a nice recreation spot, it's central and covered over. Maybe the eating area like you say, then ball parks, trampoline, lazer tag and things for kids. Might give families and groups a reason to visit.

I keep thinking the council should somehow give all the college students a chance at using the units. They'd have new ideas and be keen to get practical experience

West Bromwich was dying ten years ago. By the looks of this, it has finally died. It was a great place back in the 70s and 80s. A fine place then. And why does everywhere have so many barbers all of a sudden??

According to the Dartmouth Square Clock (it's usually right) you were filming at 10:20 in the morning, about teatime 6:00 p.m. Tesco in New Square was ram packed.

Yes CH i started around that time but I took a break and resumed later, but there were no signs it was picking up. I expected things to liven up in the afternoon and pleased to hear it was bit more positive later on. Many thanks

The amount of litter is disgusting. I have family who live in Lichfield which is only around 15 miles away from West bromwich and the difference is shocking. Lichfield is a beautiful town, no litter, low crime, friendly people...

Yep West Brom in terminal decline, But every town and city in the UK is in a downward spiral This year people are being even more cautious with money… Everything is going up . Would be interesting to see a video in 2 months time as it will change again with shop closures Unfortunately no solutions it’s the decline of Britain

Hi Phil there's a big difference between West Bromwich High Street and a very organised and busy Bilston Market I agree with you Phil more cafes and all the outdoor Market stalls moved in the new indoor market area and I've said before free Parking would draw more business and people to the Town the one thing West Bromwich has got is very good public Transport links it's a shame the Towns looking run down all the best Paul

Terrible place westbromich. You hardly see people shopping around. I don't like it .I wouldn't go there.love bilston Market and town. Nice clean and full of people. I love to shopping in bilston. ❤❤

I've watched a few of your video's now and one thing stands out for me. Its you are stuck in the 70's. You certainly are not an ambassador for the area, in fact I would say you more than likely put people off the area. Where have you been recently, on the moon? people are not about because they have no spare money to spend, they are to busy concentrating on paying the household bills. Constant factors about the state of our towns and cities, is rising council rents for shops, cost and lack of parking for customers and online shopping.
