West End ~ Hilarious To See Koa & Treasure Redecorating The Nest w/ Thunder's Grass Delivery 5.16.24

Thunder flies into the nest with a huge clump of grasses! She leaves them in the center of the nest and finds a nestover fish and begins to feed Treasure and Koa. Sterling hangs back then decides to show off with wingercising while gripping the nest rails! Thunder finishes the fish and flies off leaving the triplets to play with the nesting material. Treasure and Koa carry it in their beaks and move it all over the nest while Sterling continues to flap all over. They are so funny - gripping the grass with their talons and then carrying it around! Looks like these two have quite the knack for fixing up the nest! 😂 Thunder will be so proud of her eaglets!! Thank you for watching!

Nest info: Eaglets WE1 (Koa), hatch 3/9 -3am; WE2 (Treasure), hatch 3/9 -7pm; WE3 (Sterling) 3/12 hatch by 4:10am; Thunder (F) 15 yrs old; Akecheta (M) (wing tag 61) 8 yrs old.
This eagle pair is a success story, part of a bald eagle restoration program started by the Institute for Wildlife Studies in 1980. Their nest has been active since 1991 and has been streaming live since 2005.

They have been so much fun to watch! Such amazing well behaved Eaglets who show siblings love each other. Thunder & Akcheta did good team work keeping them fed together which helped with no bobbing and fighting. I absolutely love this nest and all Eagles and Eaglets involved.
