Sorry I'm late to the party. But only just seen your video. Even though it was 3 years ago, you were really lucky to be able to camp on conic Hill and not be absolutely wind swept off there. I have done the West highway 3 times and every single time the top of conic Hill is way too windy to camp. You were very lucky, looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos.

Fantastic! The tinted water is coloured by peat. As You stand on Conic hill you are actually standing on a fault line. At the top of Conic hill everything to your right is "Highlands" and everything on the left is "Lowland". To your left all of the stone is soft sand stone and everything to your right or North is Granite or slate hard stone.

Yes, you were right the first time; Drymen is pronounced "drimm'n" (confusingly, later on you'll come to Tyndrum, which is pronounced "tine-dr'm"). Nice to see our old home in Blanefield on shots from your first night's campsite above Strathblane at Ardoch.

It will be wonderful to get to know highlands Scotland and enjoy each stage. Also in this video i could see the importance of the weight to carry in the backpack with the most essential elements for a long hiking that you showed in one of your videos. Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱

Uh oh I should be getting on with jobs that need doing. I am now addicted to this. I love the west highland way but sadly because of my disability I can’t do it myself. Maybe I will attempt some of the better sections one day but it may well be the end of me if I do. Anyways your channel seems great. Literally stumbled on it looking at titanium cookware. Keep enjoying the outdoors mate, there really is nothing better in the world than being out in nature 🍻 PS you may want to take a Sawyer water filter with you on trips like this. Will vastly improve your water situation 😉

Did the WHW five times in the 1990s, can't recommend it highly enough as a way to experience rural Scotland. It gets awfy busy in summer, so I prefererred February/March, but walking in autumn, heading into winter is good too. So much beautiful country to walk through, and if you do it right, one of the best ways you'll find to de-stress and leave your city grind behind. If you're fit enough, do it.👍
