Not only does this show cadets have enjoyed empty boxes since the inception of the academy, but also commemorates the best spirit mission in academy history. 10/10 would get my hopes up again

I might suggest the box held some soil from Kosciuszko's home country and perhaps, seeing how it was created after his death, a momento of his that had been around like a clip of his hair. I don't see the event as being a failure! It's the exploration that counts, not the finds. Finding what little there was opens further avenues for more exploration and on and on. Science is like that.

I might suggest that the box may have held nothing more than some soil from Poland along with, possibly, a lock of his hair.
