West Virginia 44 Out For Testing In World of Warships Legends

This is another secondary focused battleship on pc that got absolutely butchered coming here to legends. On PC the base secondary range is 6.3 km, ours is a pitiful 5.5 km and they have the nerve to give it the “long secondary battery reach” accolade. The real kicker is the secondary dpm, on PC the secondary reload is 2.5 seconds… here it’s 5 seconds so they decided to give it a 50 percent dpm nerf. I have no idea why the legends developers hate the idea of secondary focused battleships, almost every single secondary battleship gets nerfed in some way making its way over to legends from PC it’s honestly unbelievable.

​@@abyss7539 Yes. As for the Picardie - they had to somehow compensate for these 305 guns which is an almost atrocious main gun calibre for a tier 7 battleship. Might as well ignore other battleships and focus on cruisers and destroyers as every second salvo ist potentially wasted dpm especially when you are low tier.

@ I can only speak for myself: but I don’t mind low caliber guns. In fact two of my favorite boats at the tier, Anhalt and Brandenburg, have low caliber. But they can often do 15-20 k AP salvos just by volume of fire. And since French guns tend to have better AP than similar calibers, I imagine that the AP won’t be that bad at all. 16 “305s” on a broadside BB will hurt a lot, especially in combo with reload boosters. Or just fire HE and do well too. I’m really excited for it, I’m assuming it’s gonna be the Christmas tier 7 boat that comes out, similar to Anhalt. Looks like it’ll be a very fun ship to play imo

I like the og West Virginia...was hoping this would be an AA platform. Secondaries are fine but I'd like to see them improved for WV 44

Since I don't own the USS California (a ship I would love to have in my fleet), I'm looking forward to this ship. I like the look of the reconstruction that was applied to the surviving battleships from the Attack on Pearl Harbor. I just hope it's not through random bundles or this crazy and expensive chain of bundles method.

Paying to test ships for WG is beyond stupid. If people normalize this, soon they will start charging doubloons to unlock tech tree ships -- oh wait, they already do by selling early access, LMAO... WV 44's perk is beefed up dual purpose AA. The problem is that AA is effectively worthless at low tiers. As a CV player, I can easily dumpster the California which has the best AA in the game sub tier 7. Surviving CVs is not about AA though. It's about maneuverability. US dreadnaughts which are the slowest ships in the game are free kills for anyone who knows how to drop torps.

Has anyone else noticed the very strange quad mounted 20mm oerlikon mount on this ship? There’s only 1 mounted asymmetrically on the side of the bridge and the other side has a standard double mount. It’s so weird looking and no other ship has it, wondering if that caught anyone else’s eye too

I absolutely hated the Colorado class so I own the original w. Virginia so that's a big hard pass. No thanks I seen what the Colorado can do and I wasn't impressed I sold that turd as soon as I could to get the Iowa BB. I don't regret that either.

This ship is not bad if it is a Colorado and California and west virginia Combined that means its a good ship it will get a buff when it comes to the game fully to purchase its a bad ship all you all need to have patiences with the accuracy of the ship it take ls skill something you guys dont have so stop saying a ship is bad or a disappointing if you say that then you are somewhat bad at the game
