I just got into old school shaving and just ordered a Simpson badger brush. Now I hear that they kill badgers just for their hair, I think I will switch to synthetic on my next brush. Is a stand for your brush necessary?

Thing is, they'll often kill the badger anyway, even if it's not destined to have its hair harvested. Reason being that badgers are quite clever and will target smaller/younger/newborn livestock. So, to Chinese people it is like killing off a coyote/wolf/fox etc.

Synthetic fibres are a derivative of oil, dead marine life, and they don’t biodegrade , for boar and badger , all the animal is used and biodegrades.

I've gotten used to a syntetic brush that worked really great, and I thought i wanted to buy a silver tip badger brush. My experince this far is that it got all most no backbone, so it makes it very hard to paint the lather on my face. my verdict is it's not worth an animal dying. Buy a really nice looking synthetic brush instead. I really want a black brush with white tip!

Hey guys! I’ve recently come to enjoy using a shaving brush. My only experience is with a Parker brush that came w a starter kit. My biggest complaint is the shedding of the brush. Is shedding an indicator or poor quality? Is there any brushes you recommend that don’t shed?

Shedding a few hairs in the first few shaves is normal. Anything after that is not good. Shedding can happen for a reasons but it’s more annoying then anything. Check out our new Two Tone Silvertip Brush. You will love the price and love the knot.

I can’t stand synthetic brushes, I prefer boar. The boars are going to be eaten anyway and wild pigs are a nuisance animal anyway.

Yeah blame the new boar brush for him sucking at building a lather.. I have all 3 type of brushes and have never had any issues with lsther.. minus not loading enough and the boar brush just absorbing the lather.. so I loaded more and problem fixed.. never that long or hard to build one

I wouldn't judge their ability to run a business just based on their presenting ability but I much prefer the new host. He doesn't make me cringe and has a far better ability to present.

Take my advice that if you are going to start wet shaving don't repeat don't buy a badger hair brush. Number one is the cruel inhumane killing of the badger is sickening. Number two is good quality boar hair bristles are 10 times better by far anyway. These bristles invigorate your face skin for a super close shave and hold lather better. In time boar hair last longer and is just as soft as badger hair. Think of the badger and how they kill them and get the boar hair instead. You will get a better closer shave.

puerto rican
