I've had a few wraiths over the years, currently have a wraith spawn. Love that thing. Just picked up a stock 2.0 bomber RTR yesterday, first thing on the list of upgrades is definitely sway bars. The torque twist is atrocious. I'm looking at the hot racing set for it. Always enjoy your rig reviews style. Talk about the truck while driving it 👍👍

Nice driving, yeah I have to get my axial yeti 1/10 scale back out ain’t drove it in a couple years just been sitting, I have the Vanquish axle housing under the back overdrive gears in the front I did put aluminum front casing in but got to take it back apart do not know about the O-rings I didn’t put it inside so the grease comes out the Drive cups

I brought a Bomber in the deal Horizon had and upgraded alot of stuff straight away. 3800kv brushless broke it on the first test drive around home. It Chewed is spur gear out trying to crawl in high gear. not my brightest moment... I love the thing its my first Bomber and I haven't even got it out on the trails yet

I have two Axial Ryft Crawlers and they are my go to Crawlers over my Scx10iii and my Spare time hobbies Optimus3 kit. I've even got a Capra on Ryft axles. I'm a huge fan of the bigger foot print and wheelbase. As you said they just do things the average 1/10th can't. It also works the other way around. Being bigger there's definitely things it can't do because of its size.

Loving mine, sway bar on the rear, HH cheap brushed motor, over driven front diff, lowered, geared it down just a bit and love it out trailing and such

Axials top all around truck.Bought as a RTR second hand. Change the damned t bones put in a Acis Six 3000KV on 3S with a Phoenix Fire ESC a bit to much for the stock plastic shafts to crawlbash.Fix it with a front Mip propellershaft and put in the rear propellershaft a 3mm HSS driller to reignforce the rear propellershaft After trouble with a cheap traction bar i change to a second pair of shocks in the rear and love it!

I love my Bomber, that’s was my first crawler/trail rig I just love the looks of it very scale to Randy’s, I got the first version. But I love it so much that I actually have Bomber kit still in box untouched and nope not for sale lolll I still want a new version tho…

Best RC Ive had, glad I got the KOH one. Worst thing I did was the sway bars, I gave them away. Its a rock crawler/bouncer, it NEEDS to have all the flex. Ive never heard a offroader who crawls 1:1 say theres a such thing as too much flex.

Does any1 know how to install the stock led & rock lights. The manual is so vague, I have entire Bomber built but can’t get the lights to mount right

I’m putting a 2300kv brushless in mine. Do you think the stock gearing 12/64 will be okay or will it heat up?

I have a bomber 2.0, not sure how I feel about it yet…. I put some gmade springs on, metal links, sway bar, and mamba 3800kv system in it, but still feel like it tips over way too much. I was thinking about getting the 2nd gear but don’t really have the funding for it, but found if I switch the throttle control down to 50%, that helps immensely. I need to regear tho, the motor gets real warm with stock size gears, too warm if you ask me….

I feel the same way. I have a 2800kv Castle copperhead system and swaybars. Even with the a-main sale I've put another $200+ into it and it just feels like a compromise but my kids love to punish it :D It tips over so easily during turning. I think with the stock foams the outside sidewalls fold under and cause it to roll. Was thinking that a 2 stage foam would actually help with that, counter to what WDW was preferring. Should I use shorter shocks or change the mount locations? The shock collars are set for min height already.

@@Hobz79 holy crap bro, I felt the same way! I’ve got some dual foams and beadlocks on the way to try and combat the tire roll. I even thought that I’d try and find a tire that is slightly smaller diameter than “normal” in an attempt to make the sidewalls somewhat more rigid and I’ll use the softer ones more for crawling. So happy I’m not the only one thinking that tho. Also, my gmade shocks, I have 103mm in the rear, and 93mm in the front to lower it a bit. The front has 20wt oil in it and it feels like a rock, I may take the oil out completely like WDW did. Only draw back is I don’t get much movement in the front anymore.

Says out of stock on horizon hobby here in the US, I've had a few conversations with them and they assure me it's not discontinued. Meanwhile amain has a page for them saying available 3rd August, so there may be hope....

The first axial bomber kit from axial was the best bang for the buck of any rc kit I ever bought,came with all the upgrades including a sway bar,trailing arm plates and KR2's and great foams.with aluminum links included and a great sticker sheet,add good electronics and paint its been bullet proof.

Great fun. Could you tell me the tires/rims that I should upgrade my stock Capra 4wa rtr? Something that isn't going to break the bank. Do I take the shock spring stops off the front and rear? Thanks for the videos. I wish I was a couple hours south so I could see you in action.

I just soldered up the connecters for my new Capra so tomorrow I will take it out. Sure looks small next to my Kratons. Thanks again.

I think between the Bomber is sort of a combination of the Capra and Ryft... but IMO I'd rather have the Capra and Ryft than the Bomber.

How do you feel about the GMade R1? I know it's an antique by RC standards, but the chassis design seems to hold a continual thread throughout the last decade of design changes among other manufacturers. Interested in what you think about that one.
