Western Airguns Rattler .45 Long Strike Review

In this video I am reviewing the NEW Western Airguns Rattler .45 Long Strike (available at www.atlasairguns.com) with some 230gr ammo out to 100yds (110 technically). I had the air rifle's velocity dialed in around 880fps. First impressions? This airgun is powerful and super, super accurate. This video captured my first groups right out of the box at 50 and 100yd. As you can see its accuracy is seriously impressive. For a semi-auto airgun this truly feels like a giant leap foward - the "game changer" so many airguntubers are desperately looking for. With accuracy, power, and a 12 shot magazine of Semi-automatic goodness, the Rattler .45 Long Strike is a versatile air rifle for competitive shooting as well as big game hunting.

What I would like to see a video of from this gun is a 200 bar reg setting and firing 365 grain High Arc Hunters. That should get max power alongside max accuracy.....which would really show us what this gun can do. BTW, you have a new subscriber here. 👍

@@Leadslinger619 correct it's pretty quiet even more so than the .357. However, being a dealer and shooting airguns more than most folks, I protect my ears as best I can. But correct not loud airgun by any means.

Thank you sir for showing us the out of the box experience! It's doing around 385 ft/lbs now with the 230 grains. I'm curious if there's a higher power setting and what it will do with some other or maybe heavier slugs. The maximum output is 435 ft/lbs with 12 full power shots from their website it says. Will it be able to that and will it be accurate? I'd like to see more of this gun for sure before I'll buy it. Can you do a full review with testing power settings, accuracy and different slugs? Thanks for this upload and I'm very interested in seeing more of this rifle!

12 shots. Yes you could tether but you’d still have to reload at 12 anyway.

@@AIRGUN4LIFE the Rattler does from 30 to 45 cal but the long strike is only in the 45cal version for extra power. For .22 the standard Sidewinder .22 is the go to.

A gun is shooting way too slow. I take it you don’t understand working pressures and speed do you. The Bintac MCAR will shoot a 310 grain 457 slug at 1145 FPS and a 3 inch group at 500 yards. And you’re showing people that piece of junk. It’s a piece of s$&t

@@MountainSportAirgunsthe MCAR is also $4000 dollars. The rattler is a very nice gun. I have a 25 caliber LCS. I love it. I also have a bunch of stuff from AEA and Umax. Most of the AEA is junk.

If you use the MCAR you’ll get more of an explosion at 500 yards. The guns week. And if it would’ve had any accuracy, you’d be shooting it at 200 yards you’re lucky to hit a barn at that yardage with that junk.

And the funny thing is it was three years ago in my videos and I said the pressures need to go up with the zero rifles in order to get accuracy. I also said it was going to be a Chinese company that does all this revolutionary stuff including beating F X, and the worst air rifles on the market at their own competitions . No pressures are going up 7000 psi the MCAR buy Bintac. They can also shoot 1150 likes a gun I have here that I’ve been shooting 1150 for a year and a half. Why have an I posted a video because I just don’t give a shit there’s guys like you everywhere. Just wasting peoples times with your bs . Like I said, what can you do to these air rifles to improve them? What do you know you know nothing. Why don’t you go play with your dog instead of doing videos because you’re bringing nothing to the table nada.

Let me ask you a question why are you doing videos? If you have no idea what you’re doing it’s great music you play it’s great ominous music while you’re shooting an air rifle. What do you show people? What do you do for their gun and community because you’re up there to do it right. Only thing you do is misinform that’s it and that gun you’re shooting just like I said is junk and Kelly likes that gun because he gets freebies from it.
