You folks need to flaunt your magnificence at PASIC and other prestigous venues. At this time this is one of the best university drumlines around. Congrats on such great playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no affiliation with WCU, besides we played them in football last year, and I refuse to hear someone say something bad about this band. For college it is fantastic and hopefully the direction of university marching bands. The mixture of musical styles, with the addition of electronics, makes the productions fantastic.

Bro, we're a crowd oriented marching band. We give the audience what they want so that they can enjoy the experience more. And by the way, we enjoy the "gimmicks." We do exactly what we need to do to get our audience going.

I love this drumline and WCU'S marching band. It's the same vision that my band director and I have been using for 6 years now and through playing popular styles the marching band and drumline has become more popular than our football team! It's not about DCI precision, it's about how many students will stay in the stands during your field show.

First in what? and What high school? You can get first place, but these days there was so many divisions, classes, leagues etc that it only matters if you're in WGI PSW, I have never received first place, but I did compete in WGI PSW and it's so crazy how high schools can get. Congrats to you! Keep it drumming!
@OverAllMusicGuy11 жыл бұрын
My expectation was a cheesy "GROOVY" piece. Who ever composes the music is most likely a WGI related figure, I enjoyed this, good job WSU drumline!!

@TheGrossFisherman11 жыл бұрын
In any other setting, they would be "gimmicks"; but when we play we have fun. You really need to see the ENTIRE band, then you'll realize that we're not full of "gimmicks". Bear in mind that what we do is technically difficult and entertaining. Now if you want to talk gimmicks, take a look at WGI drumlines the past few years... Remember the lines in 2012, eeesh...

hey now, no need for the hostile caps lock lol welcome to college marching band, where you have to please your crowd by giving them what they want. what to college crowds like? "gimmicks". Sure we could play more traditionally, but we'd also be playing to empty stands. im sorry our lack of timpani hurt your feelings :)
