Part 2 of the Nantahala River trip.
The Slab crew caught some downright BEAUTIFUL trout and even ran into a HELLBENDER salamander. This fly fishing trip to the Nantahala was one of our best trips to date and definitely one we will be going on again soon. The trout in this river are plentiful and aggressive. We are still learning a ton about fly fishing, but just the opportunity to fish for trout in cold, clear, mountain waters is enough for us!

Great video, especially the rare look at a wild hellbender. I came across a smaller aquatic salamander last summer in western MD, and it really opened my eyes to the range of creatures living in these mountain streams. Thanks guys.

Looks like an absolutely amazing trip with memories of friends that will last a lifetime. Very very good video. Why do you guys run your fly line from the top of your reel? I've never seen that before.

I think one of those reels was spooled wrong haha, easier to just roll with it. These fish never really required mechanical drag, so keeping the line in our hands worked fine

What DJI you using? I, had..... a Spark but it's about 150ft. up on a ledge at Linville Falls. About to get the Mavic Mini
