All rainbow fish are real fast swimmers. Yes it is true, they need longer tanks and at least a good school to appreciate their true behavior. Nice video update on Australian rainbow fish.Liked your video.

Mr, can i ask u what flow do you use in your aquarium?? Strong flow or slow flow?? Your aquarium is look amazing.. and your fish is healthly..

Thank you, I use strong flow produced by a powerhead pointed toward the surface of the tank. I believe its best to have flow closest to the surface of the tank that way you water surface can turnover more...producing higher oxygen levels in your tank making the tank more healthy!

Nice looking fish :). I don't really like the body shape, but I can still enjoye him, rainbows are nice, lot's of colors and they look like they have nice behaviors as well, so I can definitivly see beauty in this fish :). I didin't know they came from Australia! In fact, I don't know any fish that come from their... what is the natural look of their biotop and from what great river do they come? :O im familiar with asian, south american, north american and most of the african biotops, but not with the australian one at all :O

Thank You, I'm not quite sure what specific rivers they come from, I just know that just about all rainbow fish come from Australia and they like some what fast paced waters, they spend a lot of time at the higher level in the aquarium and they are a schooling fish so they are best kept in large numbers

Australian Rainbow fish come from the tropical river systems of the Northern Australian States of Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Heavy rainfall and tropical rainforests are typical of those river systems. The even more colourful Rainbow fish come from Papua New Guinea, which is a country just above Australia.

Is it just mine or do large male M.trifasciatus want to near kill Boemanii males? in a 240 he hunts for them all day. He's not as bad with New Guinea or the blue Rainbows...but hates Boseman's.

bro i have a blue turquoise rainbow, he is beating the snot out of my red ones, i thought they were peaceful , he has two of his size and type a female and male, but he is still a dick, what gives, any help appreciated

Sounds like you have male vs male aggression...you could try adding more females or just remove him
