Wild, was born in '59 and this was the mindset back then. I walk the beaches around the bridge and it looks monstrously huge from below. Just don't get why people want to end their lives on it, its especially eerie on foggy mornings and bouquets of flowers are washed ashore from the cremation ship The Neptune. The huge flocks of seagulls are all but gone. Been all up and down the Columbia river camping and fishing. $18 million give up fishing rights! You won't find any 50 lb salmon in the river now, we never caught any that big back in the 60s. For years there was a ground level window in an apartment building on Pine street in San Francisco that had several beautiful bonsai trees thriving in it, then one day I noticed they were dead. They stayed there in that window for several years, the owner who obviously loved and cared for them was no longer alive. Strange city to live in. Thank you for the upload.

This film must be post 1957. The Dalles Dam was officially completed that year. RIP Celilo Falls.

Love the matter-of-fact period narration detailing the relative worthlessness of any USA treaty involving Native Americans. They had a treaty-until they didn’t.

I wonder if the American Indians invested their 5 million dollars? Those wintertime Horse chariots look like an adrenaline rush.
