To all my Zeliang and Non Sumi friends I do admit the fact that We the Sumis in general does lot of wrong things which is a known fact to everyone but with respect to Kiyevi -Lamhainamdi issue, I'd like to enlighten you with some facts and logic which might be an eye opener to you. For instance, my village, Zhuikhu under Medziphema sub division was established in the year 1940 under the permit issued by then British DC of Naga hills district Charles Pawsey. Now, if our neighbouring Angami or Kuki villages try to establish a village within our legally established village, then I would even sacrifice my life to defend it, though no such things happens in our area. Now coming back to Kiyevi issue. Kiyevi was established even before our village, that is, in 1939 with the British Permit. So that means they have every legal right to defend their land when someone intrudes. Many of you are viewing the issue from tribal lines, so when you see the name "Lamhainamdi", all facts and logic gets lost in thin air and it makes the Sumis looks like an agressor. Remember, Lamhainamdi was established in 2019 within Kiyevi's land, a village legally established in 1939's land, hence ever right to defend. See, I can't help you if you're so curious as to why Sumis have so many villages. If you don't like it, then let it be. To understand it better, you have to know a lil bit about socio-cultural aspect of the Sumis. If you don't want to know, then you can remain ignorant forever and keep on asking questions such as, Sumis should be in Zunheboto, why are Sumis everywhere blah blah blah..

And just like saying "necessity is the mother of all inventions", we Sumi's were compelled to be brave and face the unknown world. Wether Western Sumi people are right or wrong, every Naga Tribe's had got its own land, The Lotha in Wokha district. Sumi in Zunheboto district. Rengma in Tseminyu district. Zeliang in Peren District. Chakhesang in Phek district. Instead Sumi Tribe's are the only Naga brethren to have set up villages in every Districts of Nagaland, except Mon district.

The leaders of both parties should also try to solve the issue through peaceful means instead of resorting to violence. Lamhai namdi translating to New Lamhai, was established in 2019 in order to prevent encroachers at the boundary of Lamhai village. Lamhainamdi is an extension of the original village only. And zeliang villages have been in existence long before 1993, though district status was in 2003 only! There's never been a question of encroaching Kiyevi land. Calling us intruders in our own land and trying to evict us from what's rightfully ours is downright shameless. And might I add, ever since nagas have come into existence here, it's our ancestral land!
