@@groundzero5708 thanks for your comment. We are now married and living in Australia. Together 3 years, married for 1. All seemed ok, his family would smile and wave on video chat and his sister messages me often and we discuss food, children, work etc. However now his brother will be getting married in a few months they asked him to contribute greatly to the wedding (they didn’t contribute to ours or even send a card), and they said when G comes home for the wedding they will set him up with another potential wife. Broke my heart. Ive done everything, paid for getting him here and our wedding, sent them gifts for diwali etc, helped to find him a job and get a car… id never dream of cheating…. Yet still they dont consider me. 💔

As a white woman living in India and married to an Indian man, this video honestly terrifies me and somewhat offends me. Please please don't encourage Indian men to be "overly attentive" to western women in India. This is perpetuating the idea that western women are easy, are only into hookups or will give in easily if they are persistent. This isn't nice, it's harassment. It might be fun for a few days while you're on vacation but living here and not being able to go even to the shops without the misguided attentions of Indian romeos is seriously depressing.

My fiance is from Punjab and he is definitely more attentive and devoted than any American guy I have dated. While there is misogyny everywhere, Hinduism and most Indian culture has an immense respect for the feminine and family. Most Indian families respect and love their mothers, sisters, and daughters and even view them as holy (celebrating 9 goddesses and aspects if feminine in Navaratri festival). There are still a lot of changes happening where now women are a major part of the workforce and are carrying on family business. My fiance is the 2nd person in his family to have a love marriage- and we met at the right time, because his family was trying to find him an arrangement. It's interesting too that- in India it's also the parent's duty to find a partner who will care for their son/daughter; And in return we (the daughter-in-law and son) would take care of our parents for all they have done for us. I think it's beautiful how family oriented Indian culture can be, and even my family wants that too- but we rarely discuss these things!

May be u should try reading ecyllla88 comments & be careful about your marriage .I don' t intend to bring anyone down but north - indian men rank 1 in misogyny in India .Try going to Haryana once u will see the male is to female ratio there. There are villages which have no women at all.Yes although villages, cities are different but mindsets remain the same .These men even women ( brainwashed , result of patriachy)who think women to be burden , bring home brides so that they can treat u like slaves, torture u.Plus IPV is a thing .Intimate , Partner Violence is a thing .There are so many cases of it in India especially in the north.(In comparison to the north , the east , south indian men are more educated , better.)In the name of family , no divorce the things that a woman goes through , keeps mum about to stop divorces are apalling. The men of the present generation are on another level. They are mentally screwed , all fucked up.So be careful about your marriage. My intention was not to scare you , but to tell u a bit of truth , snap u out of blind belief of indian men being total gods.

The black woman in this video is very beautiful, I'd take her any time over a Thai or Indian girl... about the "did you have lunch?" question... after having lived for many years in Asia as a western guy, I started asking the same question to local people who I care about. It's normal, it shows you care. Having dinner or lunch with someone is just a daily social activity, it's not like in the west where people plan to dine out during the weekend days a head of time.

I read somewhere the culture of asking about whether someone had their breakfast/lunch/dinner goes back to history of numerous famines which happened in India which first made mothers super cautious whether their kids had a meal or not and then spilled over to a cultural thing about a way to show someone that you care about them.

famines were artificial creation by the british invaders in the 18th century and 19th century. Bengal 1943 famine happened despite bumper harvest that year. brits took away all the food, diverted it to ww2 and even after millions died starving and photos of starving children were published around the world, australia send food ships to bengal but brits didnt allow it to 'teach bongolis a lesson to fight for Independence'.

I absolutely love this conversation -- from a woman's perspective. I've never been to India, but have traveled a lot in West Africa. I would always make note of how white western men could easily pick a woman and kind of make a decision to take care of her. It's not prostitution, but there is an understanding that he would take care of her. These women also tended to be from a lower income household, so dating the white guy was really a "come up" for her -- dare I say a potential visa to America.

I have travelled around to 12 countries in the world till now because of the type of work I am in , and I have also experienced attention ( or wierd staring and sometimes over friendliness and sometimes rudeness from locals ) while walking down the streets in the countries where there are barely few or no brown people , So , I would say that the over attention that many foreign women/men get in India is because of not being able to blend into indian crowd because of their skin colour , they stand out and so everyone looks at them and also want to know them as India is still not a heavy tourist hub and that doesn't happen when the same women are travelling to other parts of the world but such as Europe , North America , Russia , Australia , because they blend in the crowd really well. I really wanted to share this thought because I have been in your place in other countries and this is actually a good topic to discuss over a cup of Joe ☺️

Indian men are very devotional and loyal to their girlfriends/wives, but there is one thing all men in this nation suffer from is sexual frustration and its all due to institutionalisation for a really long time. If some kind of education was given to men about the opposite sex's, personality, feelings and stuff, we would have been more better than what we are, but still we by educating ourselves have changed a lot and ready to face the challenges of dating in this modern world. Thanks for the video.

Even as an India when I date any Indian girl it's not guaranteed that I will find some depth in the relationship, even if we are coming from the same culture. I have dated 5 girls till now and could find some depth in relationship with only one. And she was girlfriend, now she's married to another guy..her father wanted her daughter to have an arranged marriage. I really loved your approach towards the topic and I am glad that I came across your video. I think you were revealing some real thoughts. Before watching your video I had never thought that even a western woman would be interested in an Indian man. I have been searching for one. Its not because of the culture that we cannot find depth in the relationship I think eventually if the partners try hard to understand and feel each other's thoughts they might find some depth, I'm sure. In India we need to really woo the girl with lots of attention and caring and constant messages and fill her notification with like. give roses, chocolates. Girls here really play HARD to get. A man can be humiliated or could be called as harassing just for asking her "sweet name". But still we men keep chasing her. You might find this as creepy but this is what we have seen from movies and tv shows from our childhood. Metropolitan have now left that orthodox nature and accepting western culture at a slow pace. But small towns are way behind. Be safe. these indian men whose attention is sweet can turn to creepy and obsession. bdw happy to see your views on indian men

Oh well marriage is really a big deal here in India. Once you're married to an Indian men/women (especially Hindus and Punjabi) you know you'll probably die together. It's an incredibly pious connection when a couple gets married and stick their souls together. Be very careful and absolutely sure before choosing your partner. It's not that casual as it is in European cultures.

Thanks for the video ladies.I enjoyed the commentary and i was not all offended. You can’t control how other people receive your your energy, anything you do or say gets filtered through the lens of whatever they are going through and metaphorically “what channel they are on” at the moment. Some of these comments are really saddening. But, that is a good way way to know where exactly they are at in their thoughts and their locational coordinates on their soul journey in earthly form. Namaste

Thank you for the video. It has taken me some conscious effort for me not ask western men and women if they had their breakfast or what were the side dishes. Concept of "privacy" is a bit different in India, which on the positive side means there is better connectedness between people. You can call your friends, usually calls do not go to voice mail. And so life is more 'complex'/'messy' than it would be for a westerner. Remember in the end of the day we must come in terms with the connectedness of the universe:)). On the negative side India, as of now ,is a 'wounded civilization'; what you consider 'Indian culture' is not really that Indian, those have heavy influence of Islamic invaders and Victorian ideals. Those layers are peeling off and with them the dogmas and misogyny.

Those are superficial in a way, however usually in India people are interested in your answers to those questions although those are reserved for friends and family members. You can ask one what he earns if you want to marry them; otherwise it would be a bit awkward:) Regarding stares, majority of those are of curious meerkats although some of those can be annoying 'specially for an outsider.

Nice video! Just an FYI, When someone in India ask "did you have your breakfast?" you can see it equivalent of "hey, what's up?"thing is off course you had your breakfast. It's just a way to initiate a conversation. This may be very weird for other cultures but I think it is very common in India, people ask did you have your breakfast/lunch etc.. It's just a way to initiate a convo -probably a terrific way though, but it's just the way it is. The person who is saying should also think who he/she is saying this to, in order to avoid any misinterpretation. There are many things like that, just mentioned one

Technology is new here. Most men especially in villages rarely interact with women freely and because there are only 941 men per 1000 women,a lot of men dont ever find a girl for themselves.Add that with the fact that prostitution is looked down upon by the society, and the easy access to porn that features predominantly white women...Dont forget that most of these people are uneducated too.You get my point. But as access improves and so does literacy,I expect this problem to die down by 2030.I sincerely apologize for the behaviour of some of my ill informed countrymen.Have a good day.And please dont categorize all of us the together. We are not all like that.

Our Indian girls are very less interested for these tourists western men. few Indian girls might hook up they are might in to drugs or studying sane university or working at same company those are only 2-3 % girls. I asked so many women’s that what they found with these Indian boys one answer was he told me he love me, he told me you are the most beautiful, he really look after me even some one knew it’s only for few days these boys give 100%. That’s why Indian girls don’t go much with western men and they don’t like cold relationship.

R.R.Q not all indian men come from india tho , you're stereotyping us just like everyone else . Please let me tell you real quick you're absolutely wrong most white , black and Hispanic men just want indian women for sex only as it's also the same for us indian or south asian guys .I know this because I've seen their many comments on you tube plus !, my sisters are all married to white and mexican men and all my brother in laws talk about is how hot and sexy indian women are and that they look like black girls with straight hair , last I wanna say my handicapped aunt is married to a white man whom she literally picked up from the street because as she claims "white men are the best " but when I was living with them not a day that went by that he didn't cuss her out twenty four seven in a rage and many times called her indian bitch he even tried to slap her once until he saw me and their on here mostly white , black and Hispanic guys calling indian women bitches just yesterday one was on here telling me how he want an indian girl cuz y'all is "submissive " but you guys don't get it they just want not only sex objects but also someone that can take all their shit and say nothing , they use this word submissive alot especially them white , black and Hispanic . I'm indo - trini - dadian - by the way

Sharon , I say that every day dude I don't remember what I said in the comment section but I know sharon I know from 5 personal sexual experiences but I'm not from india tho tho I'm an indian guy . From my own experiences plus you tube videos it's quite clear to me hispanic women and black women have the most racial hatred towards us indian men and arab men when it comes to men and women relationships , especially mexican chicks , but all women hate us tho they just hate us much much more I've never been able to get a minority chick in my life except one black girl who literally was a prostitute I met on the corner but other than that I've had lots of trouble with them especially mexican chicks .

I love my country because of its diversity. In India, we can have a holiday destination every 100 miles apart and experience something unique. And among the north east states, the MOST BEAUTIFUL and STRUCTURED is Meghalaya. I am from Assam btw! And I recommend you to visit North east India, and try the variety of authentic food of the specific states, along with the places. You will get to know the zenith of diversity here in North east India (Assam,Arunachal Pradesh,Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim).

We too feel wierd when in outside India people asks how is the weather...as it's is way to start ye conversation....we Indians asks did u had ur breakfast or lunch is a sort of conversation starter...but actually we Indians always ask someone have If they had he food if not we can serve them whatever we have...coz our culture believes serving someone with food is one of the biggest act...hence the tradition of asking did they had food and what they had...Hope this clears, the mystery any indian men asking what I had for food

Thank you both SO much for your very insightful, and somewhat humerous video. You both have potential movies in the making, I think, and hope you will do more!! As an Indo-Canadian whose family was always very open to inter-cultural marriage on both sides of the family - to the point where on Mum's side a wonderful Polish and Philipina aunts, and on my Dad's a wonderful Caribbean aunt (from St-Kitts Nevis) as well as Spanish, Haiitian and Seychellian cousins - when I was in college in Montreal, I saw quite a few heartbreaks involving relationships between my Indian (as in from the subcontinent) classmates and non Indian romantic partners. As heartbreaking as it was for the non Indian partners, the Indianslost much more. I saw them lose beautiful, loving relationships and the opportunity of a lifetime to be truly happy and actualized. IF they remained confined, they will have gone through life stunted - submitted to mother's will on a fundamental matter of love, on top of that - sure at one level they "opted" to submit to their mother's dictates, but the fact that they felt obliged to, means that at a very deep level, they re incapable of independent thought and action. On the flip side, and more fundamentally, they were not able to stand up for their love interests to their families - I find that very sad - they should simply not have got into a relationship with non India s if they knew that they were the quintessential mama s boy/girl Its was sad to have witnessed and healing took time, but the Indian students on the other hand, will go through life knowing that they did not give themselves The chance at happiness and personal growth and development. From what I have seen in my dealings with people from various Indian cultures (the subcontinent being a mosaiic) this is not uncommon in Indian families and it creates a cycle of deep discontent, and sadly, as a result, family violence. I have also observed that The staying power of such families is due to social stigma of divorce, but often the families are in fact quite dysfunctional with children who are "superachievers" professionally, but often not developed at a personal level, so that you can often find a CEO of a large corporation, or a university prof or physicist earning fortunes, but completely stultified personally, so that, when you hit that undeveloped aspect of character, you have the impression of dealing with a child in an adult's body - owned body and soul by Mama, and never truly happy. All this to say, as painful as it is for the non India person in these instances, they actually got a better arrangement - OUT of that scene where mother in law would have RULED every aspect of their lives NB under NO circumstances am I claiming to, or COULD claim to speak for "all Indians" only saying what I observed

I feel you guys are more detached to your family and feel you are more independent(take your own decisions) because of that. So I guess Indian men wants to date you guys as there are no strings attached and as you said in the video because of cultural differences most of the time it won't go much further than that. The same thing is not possible with Indian women. Some guys are genuine and some will have some intentions behind dating non indian girls only time will tell.

All Indian households have a thing about sharing their photo albums with new friends. Facebook is the same. I am an Indian straight female and have often gone through new FB friends' photos on FB. It's a good way to gauge if this is someone you want to keep in touch with or not, see what you have in common and whilst you're there you might as well 'like' the photos (if you like them).

There are 1.3 billion Indian people in India, bro. Do you know or have you spoken to 99.9% of those 1.3 billion people? I doubt if you have. You could be more accurate and say "I don't want to marry a non-Indian", and that would be entirely fair since you would be speaking for yourself...but I don't think you can speak on behalf of 99.9% of 1.3 billion people, so you shouldn't, really.

"Most Indians in the west sometimes marry someone outside their race." The "most" and the "sometimes" contradict each other LOL In fact, whether in the west or in the east, most people marry within one's own "race" or ethnicity. Most white people marry other white people, most black people marry other black people, most Hispanic people marry other Hispanics, and most Indians marry other Indians. Such is life.

Great video. The monkey is a great feature lol 🐵 I have dated two Indian guys. This is so true. Indian men are so attentive and show it in cute ways. The thing that I found disappointing is that even though you are in a relationship with them some men avoid talking to their parents about you very difficult . I know it's cultural but it is hurtful.
