I like them both, and both have their purposes. We have one stander and three regular JD zero turns.

Yes they sure do. What all mowers do you have?

What about for steep back hills? Stand up or sit?

we have a 52 inche deck stand on, I like my mower, just got it this summer, I have 3 acres with slight hills, one hill I have to do backing up becasue it is safer. I wanted it to strengthen my legs out.

Awesome! Sounds like the way to go.

Haven't wanted a stand on even after mowing for 64 years. Can have a square pail with branch trimmer and hand extension tool for picking up trash in that pail, easily accessible while sitting.

I like both of them a stand on mower is good for something that a sit on mower can’t do
@WesternEquipment2 жыл бұрын
This is very true. Both are great options.

I am a fan as well. If I did commercial mowing, I would definitely have one or two.

The stand up mower would be nice to have to go with my z930m but ill have to go with a different brand than a john deere since they are about $10000 dollars. Where a hustler is about half the price

Question for Brent, why don't they use the stamped deck on the stand on? Why a fabricated deck?
@TotallyNotillegal2 жыл бұрын
Fabricated decks are stronger. Usually thicker metal and just in general more sturdy. Thats why commericla mowers have fabricated decks
@WesternEquipment2 жыл бұрын
In the case of the John Deere stand on mowers, they went with a fabricated deck to be able to make the deck as narrow as possible to create a smaller footprint and to make it more maneuverable.
@msclecarcrzy2 жыл бұрын
@@TotallyNotillegal Well their commercial mowers are 7 iron and stamped.

It looks as tho the stand on fits tightly on a trailer front to back. The front wheels on one would go around the rear wheels of another on a trailer or in a shed allowing more efficient space.

which one would be better on a steep ditch incline?
@WesternEquipment2 жыл бұрын
They will both perform relatively the same, I think this is more of an operator comfort preference more than anything.
@jfroh6855 Жыл бұрын
Hands down stander is better side hilling. I run both and the standers sidehill much better. I think it has to do with length of wheelbase (shorter=better) and ability to lean and counterbalance.

What's the yellow vest for in the still shot? Some out of control car driver sliding through the lawn going to regain control by seeing the safety vest?

For small yards can't beat a hydro walk behind. Less trimming than stander or ztr. Stand on are nice on commercial sites with curb islands. A bad boy or Ferris ZTR will have suspension and suspension seat and are top pics for anything bigger than a postage stamp lawn

Stand-ons commercial walk behinds are pretty uncommon in our are so thanks for the feedback.

Nothing about hills??? 🤷

Hydro walk behind for hills. I can mow anything I can walk on with my 20year old hydro 48 inch Ferris walk behind. ZTR for flat and standers can apparently take a grade but center of gravity is much higher than my walk behind
