Well Warren, you have an awesome wife! What a gal, goin off to the auction and coming back with a tool a guy can use right away, brand new at that. Bravo!👏👏👏 On the engine stand, if you have some C channel, you can make a cross bar for the rear engine support, just bolt it to the posts so you can adapt it to whichever type engine you are working on. That stand is definitely a handy tool to have, especially with all the engine work you do. By the way, there is nothing wrong with working on Memorial Day. We remember our brave soldiers lost in battle and we continue to live our lives. Memorial Day is not a funeral, it is the day we remember the fallen and their families every year.

Hi Warren 😃 this makes a change from hydraulics, lol, that engine stand is going to make life a bit easier for ya, and a nice gift from your wife whith the pallet truck, don't blame ya going home to do rotorvating for the little lady, she'll apreciate it, at the end of the day family is all we have. Looking forward to the next video, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.

Hi warren just a little thing that might make things easier for you, when lifting engines etc out and back into the chassis, use a small cumalong or cable hoist on the front of the engine your chains on the rear, then you can adjust the angle of the unit, it works wonderfully, thank you warren for putting a fabulous vid together for us to watch.

🤘🏻 Overhauling a cm2350 right now because of carbon packing on the pistons. When I tore it apart I found the fuel pump camshaft came apart and scored the crankshaft. Now my simple inframe became an out of frame.

Guess I'm behind in the times as well Warren, never heard it said that way before. I think that those that prefer to keep things "stock/original" are doing things the smart way. Yea, it's nice to chip things to get that "extra" but, it's that extra that WILL bite you sooner or later. I've said this several times before and I'll say it again, thank you Warren for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Great video as always. Cheers :)

We use a stand like that when we swap parts to our reman engines and it’s handy having both engines next to each other. For the rear bellhousing I’d suggest blocking up the engine in the rear from underneath where the pan is off.
@mongomay13 жыл бұрын
Maybe make a small frame box to oil pan frame to support it with bolts so it can be removed after working on bell housing. You have some fab skills. Good luck, make your tools work for you!

@SuperSecretSquirell3 жыл бұрын
Get yourself some scrap steel tubing and make a support that will sit under the block so you can pull the rear housing off. You could make all kinds of adapters to fit pretty much any engine you work on.

I like the owners point of view. Leave the motor alone. I like my Bikes and I can see a lot of guys having electrical and Machanical problems, Then blame the brand. See it all the time on the internet. But the owners never mention it may be the mods they done . Perhaps for more power or esthetics like exhausts that then require re- tune. May work good on some, But could cause future troubles to the engine over time I think.

You should buy a high output 6.0 for that high torque impact, you'll notice a huge difference, and on supporting the engine I made a bracket out of channel or you could use angle iron I guess and make a u shape where it comes out the the oil pan rails and drill holes in whatever you use and put a oil pan bolt in to keep it from walking off or moving, and please put some holes and bolts in that engine stand for the mounts, had an isx fall on a co worker last year as he was doing what you are and putting a oil pump on and the engine moved and fell on his face and crushed his cheek and jaw, nothing worse then pulling an engine off a guy's face and having to call his wife
@waynep3433 жыл бұрын
with as much weight as you lift with your truck crane.. how old is the cable.. have you unreeled it and examined it carefully.. might be cheaper to put a new cable on it before it breaks than destroy something when the cable breaks with a full load.
