John deere 6170m and Jcb 940

Running out to a potatoe farm to replace a shift enable valve on a 6170m and finishing the injection pump i nstall on a jcb 940 forklift.

Fasten an oil rag round your wrist before trying to remove valve and it stops the oil going up you're armpit

The M series is a great lineup for loader tractors in my opinion. Cab is still good enough and the power quad is nice enough but without the electronic valves and the screen you simply don’t need in a loader or feedlot tractor. Is a powerquad 6170m the same mechanically as a 6170r with a powerquad? 3 point lift might be different and hydraulic pumps but other than that I couldn’t think of much

Totally agree with your thoughts on giving up work too early Warren. I’m a little older than you, but I doubt I’ll give up the spanner’s if my health allows it. Plus because I’m a self employed mechanic I won’t be able to afford to anyway................

Would have been interested to here your thoughts on that vgt actuator fault? Where you saying the disabled regen maybe caused the vains to get sooty and stick or the actuator is jjust junk?

A year or so you resealed a John Deere 410 backhoe injection pump I am cleaning a pump like the one you worked on I cannot find anything on the pump I have. It is a JDG 435 4007 Ar962 Do you have the roller to roller dimension on that pump or do you have the Stanadyne pump model number. Thank you

I retired 2 years ago. I bet I've gained 25+ pounds. I'm out of shape. Yeah. Take 3 or 4 months off. Then get your ass back to work. You don't have to put in 40+ hours. Just 25 to 30 is good enough. Then find 4 or 5 hobbies.
