i LOVE MY iGEN 2550. i've been using it the past month without any issues. i only use gas with it but it only holds 1.1 gallon and will run for 8 hours if i don't use any space heaters. you fire upa 1500w heater and it runs about 6 hours on the 1.1 gallons.

That's great information. Haven't used gas in it. I need to do some testing on runtime with propane. Should be interesting. Appreciate you stopping by.

Good to hear it will run a space heater. I plan on using this for exactly that. Oh and a window AC.
@WatchTheJoeChannel22 күн бұрын
@@CampingFamilyDid you find out how long it will run on a 20lb? I might just use propane if runs long enough.
@whosnext200516 күн бұрын
@keithmcevers7059 I assume the 6 hours is when the space heater is on high? What runtime does it get if you run it in low so it's using around 750wattts instead of the full 1500w?

Nice to see a 36" gas line. I got a 24" on the Champion i bought my daughter after Hurricane Helene... These dual fuels are nice. I hooked my Westinghouse 4500 up to my 500 gallon propane tank with a quick disconnect by removing the 1st of the two regulators that came with it.

I like how accessible the engine is for maintenance. The overall generator also very small compared to my HF inverter model. The propane option is nice too. Crazy that just after i commented on your other video we had a power outage over here.

Sorry to all the fellow teeenagers-at-heart - I liked this video and now it's at 70. I have the gas-only 2500W Westinghouse and man, I wish I knew there was a dual fuel one when I got it a couple of years ago.

I want a dual fuel for natural gas. I think I would have to change the nozzle or jet on a propane unit. Nice generator.
@CampingFamily5 ай бұрын
I think on some there is a kit to allow for natural gas. I'll have to check into that as well.
@jackjacks54803 ай бұрын
Just need the natural gas regulator with load block hose/fittings for connectors. There's no internal regulator on this Gen.

That's called a tri fuel.

Any trick to start it? Pulled about 35 times.
@CampingFamily20 күн бұрын
Some things to check. Make sure to bleed the air out of the line if you are using propane. Also make sure your tank valve is open so propane flows. This will make sure propane is fed to the unit. Then make sure to have the power button turned to on. I seem to recall the first time I used it that it did take a few more pulls than what I would consider normal. I haven't used gas through mine yet.
@WatchTheJoeChannel20 күн бұрын
@ switched to gas it started right up on 2 pulls. I’ll have to contact Westinghouse and maybe a new regulator?
@CampingFamily19 күн бұрын
@@WatchTheJoeChannel That's a good guess. If you hook up the hose with the regulator to the tank with the other end NOT connected to the generator, turn on the gas, press the air release button, do you hear gas coming out the other end?
@WatchTheJoeChannel19 күн бұрын
@@CampingFamily ok, thanks I’ll check that out later today. It’s a great size and will run a space heater and charge my bluetti’s and jackery’s. So on those cloudy days I still have the solar generators.

Awesome! This is the first review I found where you can actually listen to how it sounds on this 2550. Thank you. Out of curiosity, is there any vibration in the panels? I'm curious because I had a 2200 and a 2500 and both of their panels vibrated when they ran kind of drove me nuts lol

That is a great question and I need to test that. Sounds like another video topic. I'll do that this week.

Is there a way to know how much gas from the Generator side, or do you have to place the Tank on a scale till it hits 20lbs out offuel, or measure view a heat strip? Awesome test OHfred
@OhioFred5 ай бұрын
We always used a simple fish scale to tell how much was left in a tank. Seemed to work well.
