2 ideas for future videos: 1. Pat telling stories about his time competing at the CENTRAL EAST regionals, battling the beasts like Rich Froning, Scott Panchik, Dan Bailey.... 2. Kristi travelling to Europe and competing with her European twin from another mother Kristin Holte in a pair competition like Butchers Lab and crushing the field :D

Recently, I think Kristi pushes Tia more than any other athlete. Everyone has specialties, however, Kristi is constantly challenging Tia in events that test both capacity and strength. Such an amazing story in 2021!!!!

This look very HARD & INTERESTING. Looks like you guys did well & had fun. VERY COOL that you went there on your birthday. I can't believe how you guys survived this much pain the whole time. I wouldn't given up after about 30 seconds of this. Can you do a video on a preparation for the CrossFit Open that starts on February 24th?

As a power lifter for 30-years, I can tell you that the biggest difference between CrossFit and Strength training is CNS recovery. We were always taxing our nervous system in maximal efforts every week so we needed more rest days than I do now as a CrossFit athlete.

we could def feel the effects of that, but learned a ton and implement alot of the methodologies in our training to this day!

Oh yeah! I think CrossFit would benefit by employing more power principles like pauses, overload and lockouts but I know how hard it is on the joints so I usually do them on my own and just tolerate the odd stares 🤣🤣

Joe is my current S&C coach (not at Westside) and I can attest to how brutal he can be. I’m definitely the strongest I’ve ever been because of his coaching and WSBB methodologies though.

Take your power belt put it at that height where they have it (looser around the hips) and then feed a band through and connect both ends to your feet and walk. Laura phelps has a video on it I believe

Sometimes I really miss Columbus (grew up in Westerville, in Seattle, WA now). I am overdue to come home for a visit! I love that Columbus has become such a mecca for strength and conditioning.

I feel your pain in these. I know exactly how you feel. I do these all the time and it looks like such a little movement but the Glutes and hips are on fire. It is not easy and I love that you fought through all that pain way to grit through it guys!

What takeaway from your training here would you pass on to a CrossFitter who needs more strength? What specifically did you implement into your own personal training? Strength is, unfortunately, not my strength.
