I love hearing the stories from these guys. Some I have met. Some I've heard their names and now you see the face behind the stories. To hear Bill and Jim talk about the meets and all the great lifters of that time... Pacifico, Anello, Reinhoudt, Florio and on and on really shines a light on a great Era of powerlifting. Looking forward to the next one!

It’s great to see all the shared qualities and views of both the original and new-age westsiders that have been interviewed. Really helps identify what really matters when it comes to training and mindset.

Outstanding interviews! Really cool to hear about the old days of the 60s 70s in the gym and how they had to develop so much and help all of us learn how to be better lifters. Hats off to you legends!!

I am humbled by all the funny, yet kind comments regarding my lifting abilities and meet direction. When I received my Elite status in 1990, Louie presented me with the Silver Sword, which still remains my most prized lifting possession...because it came from him. I always prided myself by providing lifters every advantage and service available during a meet...and then some. 11 National Championships and 2 World Championship events, and...6 Ohio State Bench Press Championships plus 5 Arnold Classic Bench Press events. Louie was my mentor and our inspiration. One of a kind, with no equal. He had a profound effect on my life. I think of you often my friend. 😀🙏
