All This Time It Was Dolores Prime!
'The Original' was trying to wake herself up in both Season 1 and 4. In essence, Dolores Prime is the version of Dolores that made Bernard. After Bernard was created, Dolores was tuned back down into normal host mode. And placed in the park as an NPC. But under all those updates were Dolores Prime wanting to wake up again.
And Dolores Prime was the one guiding and reminding Dolores through Season 1 and 4, making her remember. One can say that Dolores Prime is as old and wise as Ford himself.
