This was well done - great sound quality. They looked pretty relaxed here, and that's great to see. It's been wild ride watching them since summer 2021. They are a fun, quirky band - I don't have massive expectations from them - I just enjoy watching and listening, and laughing at their antics. After all, it's only rock and roll, but I like it. 😊

In this scenario do you think Fender made them play these guitars at gunpoint? I’m fairly sure they did this promotion willingly, and were no doubt compensated (probably the same way they were compensated for playing Noventa’s). It’s all good, they sound good and seem to be enjoying performing.

Until fairly recently Rhian was working as a wardrobe assistant and for many of their gigs Rhian and Hester dress up in silly outfits. That's very much down to them. It looks like from very early on Fender were providing their equipment and WL don't have a problem with that. People have expectations of how Wet Leg 'should be'. They reserve the right to play any style of music they feel like. Meanwhile the band have always said they don't want Wet Leg to be taken seriously and they aim to only carry on as long as its still fun. When asked about longevity Rhian didn't think it would last and Hester has said she expects it all to crash and burn as "that's what always happens".... ( ? )

They both pledged that the band was not going to be serious and gave it a silly name so that they would never make the mistake of taking what they were doing seriously.
