This is so beautiful! Thank you for explaining what you’re doing and why. I believe I now have a better idea of why paint consistency is described as “skim milk “ versus “cream “ …. It’s about value, right? The darks, lights and mid tones.

Masking fluid would be helpful, but I hate it. I prefer to paint around the subject carefully. :)
