Please remember that qualified immunity is a pain in the side of the community to avoid holding the police accountable for their actions. It must be eliminated. I propose requiring cops to require individual malpractice insurance just as healthcare and other occupations require. If the individual cop exceeds the limit of the insurance company and/or Brady Act limitations they may lose their insurance and their certification and their job.

I don't know... If someone had a ton of illegal substances and the cops started the case by doing an illegal search, it'd be thrown out of court. There is no recovering for the police when they muddle the waters by committing a crime. This is the best way for the criminals to get off scot free. Edit: in other words, if you want to cover all your bases, be sure that the police can't get anywhere with whatever book they throw at you, then don't lock your doors - but do keep a camera around so there's always a witness there that doesn't lie. And no judge will risk their seat by accepting a case of police muddled the waters.

Whether we've decided it was legal or illegal? Ludicrous, right?? Yet that's exactly the power THEY have. Gotta audit, audit, audit, tho w/out being rude &/or aggressive bcos it goes better in Court and also, very importantly, builds the Constitutional movement rather than harms it. You can harm your own cause by promoting it as hostile & this movement needs the population majority to support it. You'll never win w/out the people behind it. Agro doesn't achieve its purpose but ppl in numbers do. Gotta replicate the great Dr King (put your weapons in the bin & show force by peaceful but huge numbers & never drop to their level. Ppl can't tell who the bad guys are if both sides are acting badly - even if one side IS in the right. Claim your rights tactfully - it shows up their wrongs all the more by contrast! This guy did really well. Assertive but not swearing, yelling, name-calling or aggressive gesturing. It's a good look that the general public can understand, appreciate & get behind. Kudos, big time.

So American 🇺🇸 Law Enforcement get your shit together and start being of the people and for the people. Otherwise find a new career because we the people do not want nor need you. @@craigbryant4150 99.9% is a bit much. I mean, 100% should go through recertification on a regular basis, but if you're just talking about the ones who _need_ to, 999 out of 1000 is an exaggeration. I've had encounters with police due to a Karen neighbor and they always deal with her while upholding my rights and not violating hers. But I've also had to deal with some bad cops, including my wife's cousin, so my experience is 50/50. I am an activist fighting to abolish Qualified Immunity. After 2 years we won!!!!! Colorado is the first state to abolish Qualified Immunity. Problem solved right? Every cop in Colorado and every police dept was advised this through a letter from the Attorney Generals Office and each cop had to sign an Acknowledgement Form stating he was informed of this new law and was given a required time to increase his liability insurance. Or be terminated. This took effect Jan 1, 2021. Police Union told police it violated police policy according to their Conduct Handbooks. That state residents/voters and legislators had NO AUTHORITY to change it, the Supreme Court declared qualified Immunity was a protected RIGHT for LE and only they can change it. So We the People are going at this all wrong. (Comment to the Solution is above)
